Electricity is one of the essential things humans need. I don’t know if I am the only one that still screams. Whenever I see power supply, there is this excitement. Whenever the light is restored, both the kids and the adult will scream in excitement. No matter how I try to maintain my steez, I end up screaming whenever I see light supply.

I will not say that the power supply in my country is 100 percent okay. The power supply in my country is not 24/7; most times people working in the power supply will be doing like small gods; they will just wake up and decide to switch off the light. Well, it is no longer a new thing for us who live in Nigeria; we are used to the way people who work in power supply work. That is why there is no house you will go to in Nigeria where you will not see a generator.

I get to realize that life is not fair if i most say there are people who also live in this country with us that there power supply is 24/7 the very day i went to visit my aunt who live in a government quarters there is nothing like blackout or rational the have steady power supply should i case there is reason for them to switch off the light with ten minutes the light is restored.

I was talking with my friend yesterday; she was like, Cindy, do you know that over one year we have not seen power supply in their area? I felt for that, my friend; I can imagine how hard it is for her to charge her gadget. She told me she pays to charge; this is a country that has a government, and its citizens are suffering this much. As far as it is not affecting them, they don’t care about what their citizens are facing.

Coming to my present location any day we see light, you need to see the jubilation in the face of the kids and the adults. The most annoying thing is at the end of the month they will expect us to pay their bills. My only happiness is that we use prepaid meters, and as far as there is no power supply, our prepaid is there for us; we don’t have to pay for what we didn’t use. We will run our generator, although the price of fuel is killing us; we have no other choice. People that I pity are those who don’t use prepaid meters at the end of the month; they will for something they didn’t use, and it is very annoying.

We don’t have a steady power supply in my area. These are one of the things these politicians promise us when they are contesting for election, but now where is the light?

Seriously, if money were to be leaves, I would go and plug out as many as possible to purchase solar. People who use solar have nothing to do with power supply; they have steady power supply.

The government should help us. Power supply is very important. Power supply is one of the essential things humans need. We need power supply on a daily basis.
