No internet i will still survive
Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt, practical skills.
I can’t even imagine a world without the internet. I am among the people that can’t stay a day without the internet; the thought of it alone is really scary. Do you know what that means? It is total boredom for me. I will not be able to connect with my friends, and I will not be able to do some remote work I do online. Taking away the internet from me is like starving me; I won’t be able to cope with it.
How did you arrive here? Our ancestors survived without the internet, and theystill earned money, but coming to our generation, we can’t even stay a day without the internet, but our ancestors didn’t know what the internet was, and they enjoyed every bit of their life. I don’t blame us when it comes to this because the world is advancing, and it is expected that we adjust as the world keeps advancing.
If the internet should be scrapped in our generation, it will affect a lot of people because the majority of us depend on it online to cater to our needs and that of our family. The fact that you can work in the comfort of your home and still have time to do other things.
It is also important for us to have a skill apart from the internet. I am among the people that want to earn money through multiple ways. I can remember when I went for my NYSC; they also taught us skills. If it were not important, they would not introduce it to corp members.
Life, they say, is unpredictable, which means anything can happen. This is why it is very important for us to always plan ourselves well; there is nothing bad if you have an alternative. This is where skills come in; it is very important for us to have online skills, no matter what the skill is. If we must say the truth, the internet gives a lot of money, more than physical skill. That is why everyone is online; you can have up to two remote jobs at the same time. We should not put all our hopes in the internet.
My physical skill is being an on-air presenter. This is one profession I love and cherish so much. I read news, and sometimes I will do entertainment programs. For me the most interesting program I have anchored is the kiddies program. I love the fact that I am passing knowledge to these kids while earning money also. This is one skill that I love doing. I have always had an interest in media. If I must say so myself, I don’t regret this skill of mine. There is this joy in people's faces whenever they see me on the road. Most times when I go
to market, I receive gifts from my fans. These skills of mine have taken me places and also connected me to people.
Apart from being an on-air presenter, I also cook anytime I am off duty. I cook for people and make my cool money.

This is one thing that will still keep everyone entertained if the internet decides to crash.
The idea of living in a world without internet is actually scary because one feeels if everything is connected to internet directly ir indirectly from transportation to transactions to communication and to business then how life will be without it.
Never knew you were a media personnel.
Having to work in a media industry is enticing but seeing how the media now rely on the internet for exposure, I wonder how the media would cope with the extinction of the internet? That would mean, the media would have to disseminate information the traditional way. Most radio stations have limited frequencies, without the internet, reaching out to wide range of audience would require building higher frequency satellite dish 📡.
I share your enthusiasm. I myself enjoy being offline. Mostly because I've stayed online for too long I think and especially with the smartphone. I feel like I am constantly connected to this vast internet that I can't take some time off and spend some time all by myself. So last year during a protest the internet was shut off across the country, I actually enjoyed the time off from the internet even though it was a very desperate and cruel situation to be in considering the context

Excellent, you have a plan based on your interests and skills. All I can say is look for opportunities to add relevant skill in that area and be your own expert.
