More than traveling

If there is something I enjoy so much is travelling. One amazing thing about travelling is you get to meet new people. I see travelling as an avenue to explore and learn as well; the joy I derive from travelling is top-notch. My friends know that the moment I hear about traveling am ready to borrow money just to pay for my transport fare. I can give in everything to travel. Travelling is always fun when you are travelling with friends. I have a friend that loves travelling, but since the insecurity in my country, she no longer travels. Most people are scared of travelling because of this.

I can remember when I was a kid. Immediately my school closed for the term; all I looked forward to was a holiday. There was this joy in my aunty whenever my aunty called telling Mom to pack my bag that she was coming to pick me up for a holiday. It was an opportunity to explore and meet new friends.

The last time I travelled was back home during the Mother’s Day celebration. It was really amazing, if I may say so. The passengers in the vehicle were amazing; the conductor really entertained us. He was telling us funny jokes. I laughed until I had no strength in me to laugh. There is nothing like travelling with passengers that have positive energy; you will enjoy every bit of the journey. I connected with someone in the vehicle. I don’t spend any money buying anything for myself. Even when the driver stopped us so that we could buy food, he paid for my meal then I had to buy a meal for the conductor who was making a memorable one. You need to see how happy he was when I offered him his food; he never expected it. One thing I love about him is he appreciates my kind gesture.

Getting home, my mom was very happy to see me; she hugged me so tight. Everyone in the family was surprised to see me; it had been a while. I celebrated Mother’s Day with my mom; all my siblings were present. It was a full house; everyone was happy. My little niece and nephew were all around me, entertaining me with dance and jokes. I have really missed them.

I enjoyed a well-made home meal; it had been a while. I enjoyed local dishes all my stay at home; I enjoyed locally made food by my mom, stepping it down with fresh palm wine. I bond with every member of my family. Since my elder sisters got married, they have not visited home. My mom said that the best gift we could give to her this Mothering Sunday is everyone coming home to celebrate with her.

Indeed, it was really memorable; you need to see the smile on my mom's face. At one point, I just prayed that the enjoyment would never end. I really enjoyed every moment at home; I was really pampered by my siblings, and I got a lot of money from them. When it was time for me to go home, I was crying because I just wish that this will never end, but I have to go back to work.

The journey I am looking forward to is in September, which is my birthday. I really want this year's birthday to be a remarkable one for me. I want to pamper myself, take care of myself travel with my friends to Ibeno Beach, which is located in Akwa Ibom. It has always been my wish to have fun with my friends, and I look forward to having this special moment with my friends. It will be funny, and I will enjoy the cool breeze from the beach. The amazing thing is I will clear my mind of all the challenges I am facing. I just want to relax myself and enjoy myself, staying out of work and stress. I really want to hang out with my friends; I have not done it before.

Life is sweet. Do things that will make you happy; make every moment in your life count.
