If there is something I love so much, it is music. I am so happy writing about this topic, music, one of the things that makes the world fun and sweet. I have imagined a world without sweet melodies and sweet sounds. Do you think the world will be fun? Music is magical; it has a way of healing and mending a broken heart. Just listen, bro; the sweet melodies will brighten up one’s mood.

Music is a soul lifter. Music is a good means to advocate for peace and message a message. I was complaining to my elder sister some years ago that I am no longer comfortable with the lyrics of the songs I listen to most of the time. I was like, How did music lyrics become this bad that the lyrics no longer have meaning or impact on people anymore?" Seeing this prompts me to be so happy because I have really been destroyed by the lyrics of the song lately. Back then, when you listened to music, it inspired and motivated you, but now it is the other way round.

The artists are after the money; they don’t care if their music still inspires and motivates people. Music is no longer the way it used to be; the industry is so corrupt that they care to do anything to make money. Most times when I listen to some of those songs, I will be so disappointed that someone entered the studio and sang such meaningless songs. Most of the songs promote scams, and it corrupts the young ones growing. Years ago, when you listened to music, you would be motivated and inspired. You can’t compare the music we listened to back then to what they are singing now. The current music industry is very corrupt, if I must say.

I was going through my phone this afternoon when a teenager was interviewed. She had a lot of tattoos on her body, and when they asked her who her role model was, she mentioned an artist. One thing that this artist forgets is that they are a role model to some people. There are thousands of teenagers out there that are being inspired by their music and lifestyle.

It surprises me that the artist, the managers, and the music go for things that will generate money for them. Seriously, I miss the old days when music gave hope and encouragement to people. I miss Bob Marley and Lucky Dube. These men's songs were full of wisdom, hope, inspiration, and motivation.

Artists don’t care about motivating or inspiring the one younger than they are after the bags. Whenever I listen to the current music, it is meaningless to me. It doesn’t pass any message. Currently, I stop my little siblings from listening to the current music.

Seriously, the artist should put more effort into writing their songs; they should not focus on the money. The music should give hope and life to the people listening to their songs.
