Love is a beautiful thing
Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hiveghana community. I am so delighted to be participating in this week's prompt topic: your definition of love.
Love is a beautiful thing if you really experience it. Love is selfless, love is patient, and love is kind. When you love someone, you are really willing to go the extra mile to make sure that person is safe. For you to show someone else love, you must first love yourself because you can’t give what you don’t have.
In our generation today we lack love; we allow greed and bitterness to take over. That is why a brother can kill his fellow brother and feel as if nothing happened. Most times when I hear people say 'I love you', I doubt it because if they understood what love is, they would never harm someone.
For me, love is a strong feeling; it is about showing care, commitment and kindness towards others. There are so many ups and downs that come with love, but your ability to stand with the person in difficult moments – that is what is called true love. When you love someone, you should be able to sacrifice for the person.
In the world we are in, it is very hard to see someone who will love you unconditionally without expecting anything in return, but if you have someone that loves you unconditionally, we are lucky because the person overlooks your flaws and mistakes and accepts you just the way you are. You see, this thing called love is very deep because many times you find yourself doing extraordinary things.
For someone like me, I always set boundaries. No matter how much I love you, there should be respect. The both of us must show interest in wanting to build this love and not make it one-sided, for the fact that love should not be enough reason for me to be harmed emotionally. And for the question of if unconditional love is real in romantic relationships. It is very hard to find unconditional love when it comes to romantic relationships; there are strings attached, and there is a return of favour. It is not like when your parent loves you and takes care of you, but if you come across unconditional love in a romantic
relationship value and respect the person because their type is hard to come by.
Yes, I have been in love before, and I have felt what it means to love someone. For one, I never regret loving him because he truly understands; he motivates and inspires me. Even when I feel like giving up, he is always there to support me. That doesn’t mean that things were sweet; we also had our challenges, but what made our love unique is that we never allowed a third party to settle us when we had issues. There is nothing like being in a relationship that gives you peace of mind.
There is no relationship that doesn’t face challenges, but your ability to handle it, love, will grow strong if you understand each other.
If you ever fall in love with the right person, you will never regret it because what others see as faults, he will not see like that, and for the person you are, you are the most perfect person. What matters is the both of you being honest, caring and committed to each other. Love is beautiful.
