LEARNING AT THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME

Since the world has become digital, it has made learning easy for people. You can learn in the comfort of home. Digital work has made acquiring knowledge fun. Learning is no longer limited to school; you can also learn from the internet, making learning easy, fun, and easy to access.

There are thousands of things to learn from the internet. We have many people who use their channels in social media to teach people, and we have been enjoying this benefit. One thing about learning online is that you learn in your own space and in your free time.

Technology has really made life easy for the people. I was having a discussion with my sister last week that the world will be bored without technology, the internet, and social media. I can’t imagine life without these things. Most of the things that I can proudly do today I learnt from social media handles. I am happy that I came across social media.

Currently, you don’t need to meet anyone to learn any skill; all you need is your smart phone and internet. Most of my cooking skills I learnt online. I have always had a passion for cooking. I can remember after I finished my secondary education, I was begging my parents to enrol me in school catering. They kept promising, but they never did. One day I came across a joyful cook. I was so happy that I could learn from the comfort, and she was explaining every step she took in preparing the food. I find the class very interesting. I have to search for more cooking classes because I want to be a good cook.

YouTube is my best app because there are many tutors in the space who upload their well-detailed videos. Early this year, a popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Bobby, organised an online cooking class where she taught over 300 cooking skills, both local and international dishes. I am so happy that I can acquire such knowledge from the comfort of my home. All I did was watch her cook in her kitchen. The class was really interesting.

The positive of online teaching.

• You get to learn in the comfort of your home.

• It is affordable. Can you believe with 50,000 thousand naria that should be about $40 dollars I was able to learn how to prepare different dishes? Both local and foreign meal

• You learn in our own space and desire time.

• Learning online is stress-free.

I am so happy that I was able to acquire this skill with social media. For those that have a passion for cooking, just like me, there are many channels online where you can learn how to cook online. I will recommend Hilda Bachy; she is very good at what she does.
