It will cost you nothing to say the truth
Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. This is another day in the #inleomonthly prompt. What is the greatest lie you have ever told or been told?
A lie is false information used to deceive a person in order to achieve something. Most times we lie to avoid telling the truth. Most times when we lie, we forget that lie can damage relationships and cause a lack of trust. My parents will always tell me back then to always say the truth, even if it means killing me. One thing about lies is once you start lying, you will always need another lie to back it up.
I can remember back then when I was small; I always lied to my parents because of fear. Whenever I did something, I lied to them to avoid punishment. Most times it worked in my favour, and most times it didn’t. No matter how sweet a lie can be, it is not good to lie; living a sincere life is the best.
Once you start lying, it is not always easy to stop the act. It only takes time to do that. Once you are determined, you will stop lying. Well, there is this particular lie I told; I couldn’t believe that such a lie could come out from me.
The greatest lie I have ever told.
One weekend as I was cleaning our sitting room, I mistakenly broke the glass table in the sitting room. My dad had just brought the table; it was not up to three months old. He had warned all of us to stay away from the table.
Immediately my dad returned from work, and he noticed that the glass table was not in the sitting room. He asked what happened to the glass table. I was so afraid to tell Dad the truth because he was so upset that I lied to him that I didn’t know what happened to the table.
My siblings was so surprise that i lied to dad looking at the them you will know that the are not comfortable covering for me my dad was so upset and he pressurized my little siblings to say the truth if not he will punish all of them.
I couldn’t stand my dad punish my siblings for the sin the didn’t commit i have to tell dad the truth i felt so terrible lying to dad at first my dad punish me for lying not just because i break the table but for lying to him.
After that incident my second name became honest i tell my parents the truth all the time even if it means killing me or punishing me. Most times we see lie as the easy way to come out of problem or the best way to achieve something but it will only put you in more trouble.
I full understand that is not always easy to say the truth but honestly are pays there is no gain in lying let there our best to always say the truth at every point of our life.
This is my entry on the ongoing #inleomonthly #Aprilinleo day 2 topic What is the greatest lie you have ever told or been told.

When much younger telling lies was something we all did just to prevent discipline actions but we later found out that lying might seem to safe us but it's repercussion would be way worse. It is better to always say the truth it is always difficult but the best. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece
My dear is not always easy to say the truth back then
Truly, it pays to be honest. Most times we fear the repercussion so we lie thinking it as a way out until it becomes a part of us. The funny thing is you'll always need another lie to cover up a lie, like you mentioned. It's good to see that you decided to be honest at the end in that situation.
My dear that is it once you lie you need more lie to cover up
