Important of balancing your parenting don’t hover around your kids
Good day amazing people of hive blockchain welcome back to my blog is another edition in #hivelearners community topic helicopter parenting.
Most parents are overprotective, and when it comes to their children, their love and care for their kids always make them overprotective, as being a parent is not a crime. To protect your kids is not a crime, but overcontrolling these kids is not really nice. Our kids also need space. Don’t be a helicopter parent; you can watch and monitor your kids without overcontrolling them.
A parent that is overprotective will always hover around their kids, like a helicopter, involved in their child’s life; they want to know what their kids do, where they go, and so on. One beautiful thing about helicopter parents is that they pay attention to their kids. They want to be anywhere their kids are; they want to guide and protect them. They don’t want me to pass through pains. Helicopter parents always want life to be so easy for their kids, at every level, hindering their kids lives.
I understand the fact that as a parent, you want to be part of your child's life physically, academically, and socially. Both making decisions for them as a parent and wanting to be strict and monitor our kids at times, watching your kids take decisions on their own so that they will learn from their mistakes, is okay for them to fail so that they will get it right.
One thing that parents fail to understand is that any kid that is overprotected by their parents, whenever the kids see freedom, will be forced to be wild. I have this cousin of mine whose parents were so overprotective; the moment my cousin gained admission into the university, she was so wild she abused the freedom. For her, it was like the parents had been hiding a lot of things from her. There is nothing like letting your kids know the bad and good.
I understand the fact that as a parent, we want the best for our kids. It is very important for us to balance it. As a parent, your work is to direct your kids, support and encourage them, and train your kids in a way that they can communicate and relate with you freely without fear. I just love the way my parents train me. There is nothing I hide from my mother. I tell my mom everything. She always gives me a listening ear. At the end, she always has advice to give me.
Another child that is trained by a helicopter parent is afraid of failure and can’t stand challenges of life because their parent is always there to solve their problems for them. Helicopter parents are always ready to support their kids at every given time.
As a parent, is it good that you should sit and observe your kids struggle? Then we will help them work out of failure. We should not make everything easy for them; then they should be able to stand up and face life challenges. As a parent, you should build self-confidence in your kids.
I am not yet a parent but i will be an engaging parent and not a helicopter parent. I will allow my kids to experience some challenges of life and build up their self-confidence.

I agree with you that those children are afraid of failure and can't face it alone which isn't a good thing
