One thing about the life we are living in is the fact that it is so unpredictable. Every day we wake up in the morning and rush out to look for our daily bread, staying under the sun and under the rain just to survive. One thing about humans is we are never grateful; we keep complaining of how bad life is towards us, and we forget that no matter how bad we think that life is for us, there are people we are better off than.

One habit that changed my life: before now, I was this kind of person that showed gratitude. I complained of how difficult, miserable and unfortunate life was towards me. As a growing child, life was not really soft for me. When I look at other kids, I always feel bad. There is no single day that will pass that I don’t question my creator. Each time, Mom will always tell me, Cindy Always be grateful because there are people that are praying to be in the position you are.

One thing about us humans is we are never satisfied with what we have; we keep killing ourselves and overworking ourselves, but we forget to show gratitude to people in our lives and the giver of life. We keep asking for more but are never grateful for the little we have.

One encounter changed this habit of ungratefulness. That is when I realised that no matter how poor you think you are, there are people you are better off then. One faithful day I went to the market with my mom, and I came across a little girl who was about five years old begging in the market. It was not just that she was begging that was the problem; her parents were blind, and she was the one leading them at that moment. I was not processing anything because the little girl in question was so cheerful at that moment. It tells on me that I have been so ungrateful to my parents and also to my maker. I think God used that little girl to teach me a lesson to let me know how ungrateful I am.

Being grateful changes a lot of things in my life. I started appreciating every little milestone I achieved, and I became so grateful to the people in my life and how far I have been able to achieve my dreams. It is very important that we show this act called gratitude if we really want to live long.

Oh my! We are practically at the same wavelength @cindynancy . We need to be grateful every day of our life.

And like you said human lacks the sense of being grateful. Its all about feeling privileged. We want everything to be easy for us and not knowing that life is not a bed of roses 🌹.

Thanks for sharing 😍

Hmmm, gratitude really changes a lot of things, until you see other people which you are better than you won't really know how to give thanks.

You're right, we humans are never grateful with what we have but it's important to be grateful with all what we have. Because being grateful can bring us favour and being grateful can make us meet our helpers. I'm this person that's grateful with what I have whether it's big or small.
