I am so delighted to write about this topic because many people have been victims of depression. Depression is really bad, as in fact, thousands of people are dying of depression. Looking at our society today, thousands of citizens are depressed because of the hardships we are passing through. Depression has become the order of the day.

I always try my best to avoid anything that will depress me because depression is real and the outcome is nothing to write home about. If time is not taken, it may lead to loss of life and mental disorders.

Whenever someone is depressed, he or she will lack joy; nothing will please them or interest them, and most of them end up taking their own life.

There are a lot of things that cause depression, and I will be discussing some of them.

Toxic relationship: a toxic relationship is an easy way to depression someone both mentally, physically, and emotionally. Last year, I lost a friend in the hands of depression. She was abused in her relationship, and she never spoke up when the heat was getting much on her. She was so depressed that she had to take her own life.

Hardship: Looking at how the economy of the country is going, that alone is enough to depress the citizens. Many of us are in debt; some can’t even eat a good meal. The hardship we are facing in the country is enough to put someone into depression.

illness: someone with an illness for which the cure seems impossible or the chance of survival is low, such as cancer, can be depressed.

Loss of a loved one: I have experienced this depression before. When I lost my dad, I was so depressed that I felt like the world was coming to an end. I was so depressed.

How will you know that someone is depressed?

The person will lack interest in things that give him or her joy. Depression is very bad; it can affect someone's life both emotionally and mentally.

A solution to depression?

My happiness is that every problem has a solution. Some of the things that helped me overcome depression after my father died.

Do things that make you happy: doing activities that make you happy or that you enjoy doing will prevent you from developing depression.

Avoid anything that will make you think to the extent of remembering your past.

Connect with your friends and family.

Regular exercise will help.

Avoid being lonely.

socialise with people.

Watch movies and listen to songs.

Conclusion: Depression is real, and we should try our best to avoid anything that will put us into depression. Please try your best to stay healthy because it is not always easy to get out of depression.
