Technology keeps advancing every day, and when you look at our world, it is really moving so fast. The existence of technology has really made life so easy, but in the other way round, the introduction of technology seems to be our doom. We humans that like to go out there, socialise and vibe no longer do that because in the comfort of our homes we have access to most of the things that will take us out. I can’t just imagine what will become of us in a few years to come. The way I am seeing things, there will be no need for people to have one-on-one conversations anymore. Humans, who are known as social animals, are now avoiding being social most times. I ask myself, 'How did you manage to get to where we are today?'

We have seen how technology keeps advancing every day. It is a known fact that almost everything we did physically to socialise in the past is now modernised in the comfort of home. You can access them, from finding a life partner to playing games, and job interviews and networking are done through various social platforms. It amazes me how people think that it is not necessary to go out there and meet with a friend. I can remember back then you needed to step out for you to be able to create a good circle of friends, but now, at the comfort of your home, you can make lots of friends.

Wow, it is no longer a new thing that you will wake up in the morning, dress up, and sit in front of your screen working and making cool money. Nobody wants a physical job; everyone is struggling to work from the comfort of their homes. The truth is, it is so peaceful working from home. If I must say, technology has really been useful to man, but in a way it has killed that word 'social'. People are so relaxed working from the comfort of their homes. I must be sincere; I am among that set of people who pray morning and night for virtual work.

Of a truth, I miss those days where we met, talked, laughed and connected with people physically more than now. In as much as technology is making life so easy for us, it is very important for us to balance the two. The purpose of introducing technology is to make life so easy for man, not the other way around. If everything should be done online, that will be doom for humans.

I am of the opinion that we should not allow technology to overcome our physical relationship with man; if it does, that will be doom for us humans.

This is my entry on the ongoing content #hivelearners #hl-w199e2 topic, all online.

I understand that part, that depending on the person, the way we socialize changes and is hardly physical anymore, but I know that it also allows us to meet people from very distant places that wouldn't have been possible before.
