Avoid burnout priority self care
Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to be participating in this week's prompt on workplace burnout.
One thing is certain: if you work because you have passion and ambition for something, you will enjoy every part of the work; if you work because of the money, surely you will be worn out; if you have a boss that is cool, you will enjoy the work, but when you have a boss who nags, you will always pray for the day to end on time. There is nothing like working in any environment that gives you peace of mind. Burnout can make one depressed. The major cause of burnout is stress.
There is this company I worked for as an accountant right from my childhood. I love accounting; the job was my dream job. I put in my best. My boss loves me because of how diligent I am. At a point, the work was really telling me I didn’t have time for myself. I go to work by 8 am, and I leave at 8 pm. When I get home, I will continue with the work because I have to complete my record before a new day. I was so devoted to the work that I will still stay awake to complete my work. Funny enough, if I don’t finish my work, I will not eat dinner until I am done.
At a point the work was taking away my happiness and peace of mind the work was talking my time i no longer eat well i noticed that am slimming down i don’t have time to focus on myself again if i most say i become a shadow of myself my siblings will always tell me aunty since you are not eating your money we will help you do that. Imagine me working for the money, and my siblings are spending the money for me.
It is very hard to avoid burnout, especially when you work in a firm. It pains me so much that most employees overuse their workers; they forget that when someone is tired, they are not effective. It is high time they realise that their workers are human as well.
How I overcome burnout
I set boundaries: I get to realise that the company was using me. I have to limit things to what I can do for the company. I get to realise that due to the fact that I failed to set boundaries, that was why the company was overusing me. I was working overtime.
Self-care: I will not lie; I started prioritising self-care. There is this popular saying, Health is wealth. After all, if I die while doing the work, the company will still move on without me. I really know how important self-care is to me.
Break: I have to revisit my employment letter; it is clearly stated that every staff member has one hour a week, and I have not been observing it all this while. I have decided to always observe my one-hour break; it is a period I will relax and meditate and go back to work more effectively.
Balancing my work time: I don’t work more than work time; I go to work by 8am, and once it is 6:00pm, I am out of the office. I balance my work time so that I can also spend time with my family and friends.
Burnout can affect us physically and mentally, and it will reduce our productivity in a company.

😂your siblings are hilarious. The kind of things that siblings can say and do.
That setting boundaries help a lot. That way, you don't mix up your job with your personal life, thus creating problems for yourself. Problems that your employers don't even care about.
As in that the best thing i did for myself
I love that self-care a lot, once you don't prioritize it there will be problems.
Very my love
