In the game there are currently hundreds and hundreds of cards, the usefulness and use of many of them has been left in the past as time has passed and being honest, it's a shame, as many of them have the potential to still be in the "Meta" of the game, but, with everything that has been introduced in "Splinterlands" in the last couple of years, for example "Rebellion" and its summoner tactics, many of the old cards are no longer the grace for them, but, today I will show one of those amazing cards that is worth to be used.

This card is of legendary rarity, I have many memories of it, in fact, this was my first "Legendary gold foil" card that I got in the whole game, so, in a way I have a sentimental connection with it, because, when I decided to invest some money in the game, I was going through a complicated situation financially; and the sale of this card saved me completely, I will never forget that, but, time later, this card made me win important battles, being one of the best "Tanks" of the whole game at the time.

The Kraken one of the most powerful cards in the game

This is one of the most powerful cards that have been created in the game, at the time when the last edition was the "Beta" and the "Rewards" edition cards were already being delivered under the framework of the same, this card in company with some of the same element, broke the game in many ways and with various strategies, in fact, even in the present time although it is not seen so much in the battlefield, as there are many other cards, "The Kraken" is a living legend, but lately forgotten in the fields of Praetoria.

But why is this letter so special?

To begin with, this card as I already mentioned is what I call a real "Tank" of battle and I say this from the experience I have playing it, there are hundreds of battles that show what I say and although I can not place most of them here, I will describe what are the strengths of this card and why its great value and / or usefulness on the battlefield:

His default stats: I mainly call "The Kraken" the perfect tank precisely because of his stats, basically as you can see in the image above, even at his lowest level he has incredible hit points, speed, shield and life, in fact, over the course of his 4 levels, there are practically no changes in this, so, even from his lowest level, he can be a tough nut to crack.
Its abilities: This is where every card acquires true value, and for its time, this combination of skills in conjunction with others, you could make a strategy capable of protecting this card until the end, causing significant damage to the opponent's forces, this card in front, not only could function as "Defense", but also as the main offensive of the alienation. Undoubtedly "Beast" in battle.

This, plus how versatile it is to play it, made it for a long time one of the best tanks in the game, of course, this changed over time and with the evolution of the game itself, something that is not new to many of you who were most likely introduced in the era of "Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and even Rebellion".

Why was this card so versatile?

Basically this card is a specialist to play in rules that involve the "Melee" type of attack, this is obvious, since its combination of abilities is oriented to be used just in these rules, but, despite knowing this, this card has worked for me in different battle scenarios, even those more risky, however, if you want to go safer, mitigate the risks of losing the battle, be sure to use this card in the following rules:

Lost Magic
Broken Arrows (Although if they use ranged attack, it can also be used with some support cards.)
Weak Magic
Up Close & Personal
Super Sneak
Melee Mayhem
Briar Patch (It can be a risk, but if you protect it well, you can take advantage of it.)

In these rules this card can stand out a lot, maybe there are some more, but in these they can work very well, of course, and it is something I don't have to mention, you must be careful with the mana cost of your battle, since the mana cost to be able to summon it is incredibly high, so, this card besides using it in these rules, is only to take it into account for very high mana battles.

In my opinion this card is very underrated, as I have already mentioned throughout the publication it is an incredibly good card, of course, the "Meta" in the game is bound to change, it is something normal, but, it is still one of my favorites and a treasure that I still keep in my deck of cards.

Esta carta es de rareza legendaria, tengo muchos recuerdos de ella, de hecho, esta fue mi primera carta “Legendaria de lamina dorada” que me salió en todo el juego, por lo que, de cierta manera tengo una conexión sentimental con la misma, ya que, cuando decidí invertir en el juego algo de dinero, pasaba por una situación complicada financieramente; y la venta de esta carta me salvo totalmente, jamás olvidare eso, pero, tiempo después, esta carta me hizo ganar importantes batallas, siendo uno de los mejores “Tanques” que de todo el juego para su momento.

Esta es una de las cartas más poderosas que se han creado en el juego, en su momento cuando la ultima edición era la “Beta” y ya se estaban entregando las cartas de edición de “Recompensas” bajo el marco de la misma, esta carta en compañía con algunas de su mismo elemento, rompieron el juego de muchas formas y con diversas estrategias, de hecho, aun en la época actual aunque no se ve tanto en el campo de batalla, ya que, hay muchas otras cartas, “The Kraken” es una leyenda viviente, pero, últimamente olvidado en los campos de Praetoria.

Pero ¿Por qué esta carta es tan especial?

Para comenzar, esta carta como ya comenté es lo que yo llamo un verdadero “Tanque” de batalla y lo digo por la experiencia que tengo jugándola, son cientos de batallas que muestran lo que digo y aunque no puedo colocar la mayoría aquí, describiré cuales son las fortalezas de esta carta y el porque de su gran valor y/o utilidad en el campo de batalla:

Sus estadísticas por defecto: Principalmente llamo a “The Kraken” el tanque perfecto precisamente por sus estadísticas, básicamente como ven en la imagen anterior, incluso en su nivel más bajo posee increíbles puntos de ataque, velocidad, escudo y vida, de hecho, en el transcurso de sus 4 niveles, no hay prácticamente cambios en esta, por lo que, inclusive desde su nivel mas bajo, puede ser un hueso duro de roer.
Sus habilidades: Aquí es donde toda carta adquiere verdadero valor, y para su época, esta combinación de habilidades en conjunto con otras, podrías realizar armar una estrategia capaz de proteger esta carta hasta el final, causando un daño importante en las fuerzas del oponente, esta carta al frente, no solo podía funcionar como “Defensa”, si no también como la principal ofensiva de la alienación. Sin duda alguna “Bestia” en batalla.

Esto, más lo versátil que es el jugarlo, lo convirtió por mucho tiempo en uno de los mejores tanques en el juego, por supuesto, esto cambio con el tiempo y con la evolución del propio juego, algo que no es nuevo para muchos de ustedes que se introdujeron muy probablemente en la era de “Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers e incluso Rebellion”.

¿Por qué esta carta era tan versátil?

Básicamente esta carta es especialista para jugar en reglas que involucren el tipo de ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo”, esto es obvio, ya que su combinación de habilidades esta orientada en ser utilizada justo en estas reglas, pero, a pesar de saber esto, esta carta me ha funcionado en distintos escenarios de batalla, inclusive aquellos más riesgosos, sin embargo, si quieres ir mas seguro, mitigar los riesgos de perder la batalla, asegúrate de utilizar esta carta en las siguientes reglas:

Broken Arrows (Aunque si utilizan ataque de rango, también puede aprovecharse con algunas cartas de apoyo)

Briar Patch (Puede ser un riesgo, pero si lo proteges bien, puedes sacarle provecho)

En estas reglas esta carta puede destacar mucho, quizás hay algunas más, pero en estas pueden funcionar muy bien, por supuesto, y es algo que no tengo que mencionar, debes tener cuidado con el costo de mana de tu batalla, ya que el costo de mana para poder invocarlo es increíblemente alto, así que, esta carta ademas de usarlo en estas reglas, es solo para tenerlo en cuenta para batallas de muy alto mana.

Conclusión

En mi opinión esta carta es muy subestimada, como ya he mencionado durante toda la publicación es una carta increíblemente buena, por supuesto, el “Meta” en el juego está destinado a cambiar, es algo normal, pero, sigue siendo de mis favoritas y un tesoro que aun conservo en mi mazo de cartas.
