Discipleship involves a student and the master. In discipleship, the student sit under the tutorage of the teacher and learn. What he learns from the master becomes his way of life. So, discipleship has to do with the act of transfer of discipline from a master to the student. The students are the disciples. As a disciple he or she has learned from the master. The lessons that they learn from the master become the pillars of their lives. So, the disciples grow up to be like their mother.

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The disciple who does not obey the teachings of his master is not a true disciple. Obedience to the commandments of God is what makes a true disciple. When we follow all the commandments of Jesus Christ, we are then qualified to be the disciples of Jesus Christ. Anyone who does not obey the commandments of God is not a disciple of Jesus Christ. A disciple does what he or she learned from the master. Jesus Christ is our Master. We have to live our lives according to His words. We must obey him completely and totally.

We should study more from the Bible so that we can know how to do the will of the Lord. The will of God is in his words. Understanding His Word will help us in fulfilling his commandments.
