The Image Of God. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

The image of God is not a bodily appearance. It is not about what we look like. We are not created like God in our eyes or our nose or our legs and hands. God does not have a physical body. In fact, he possesses all the bodies of all the creatures on earth because he created them all. The human body is one out of a multitude of different kinds of bodies. That is not the image of God. God is a spirit.

God is a spirit. He gives bodies to all the creatures in the world. The various species of animals in the world have different forms of bodies. There are those who are flying in the sky. There are those who are in the waters. There are those who are in the forest. Every creature has its own unique body. The manifestation of all these different kinds of bodies for various kinds of living things reveals the majesty of God. God is so majestic and glorious that is why He could form different kinds of bodies that we see in the creations.

The image of God is not a bodily thing, God is a spirit. When we are thinking about the image of God, we should think of it with respect to the nature of God. God is a holy God. He created us in holiness. God is a loving God. He created us to be loving. The image of God that we are carrying is the holiness and righteousness of God which we are to exhibit. The way we live our lives reflect whose image that we are carrying.
