The flesh fights against our spirit to stop us from doing what is good. The flesh exert great power on us to stop us from doing what is good which we want to do. The world also opposes our intention to do good works. There are demonic forces everywhere trying to stop us from doing what is right. The devil is so powerful that we ourselves cannot overpower him.

The opposition which the devil brings our way is strong. His temptations are strong. We cannot overcome it by ourselves. We need the assistance of the Holy Spirit. We cannot fight the fight by ourselves, we need the help of the Holy Spirit to contend with these satanic and worldly influences.

The Holy Spirit alone can help a man to live holy and righteous. We must submit ourselves to the help of the Holy Spirit and obey the word of God. The Bible teaches us how to live and please God.

We must be renewed and regenerated. Our hearts and minds have to be renewed by the Holy Spirit so that we can stand strong and obey God's commandments.
