Good afternoon, friends and brethren in the household of faith. The Lord our God has been good to us in keeping us under His care and protection. Do you know that our God has been faithful in keeping His promises to our lives. God has not abandoned us nor rejected us when we were passing through trying times. We are living in a time and season where life is difficult. But in all these things, our God has been good to us.

As the children of God, we must obey the commandments of God. We are not going to live our lives without obeying the laws of God. If we refuse to obey the laws of God, God will not be happy with us. To receive the approval of God in our lives, let us obey the commandments of God.

Obedience to the commandments of God requires that our body should submit and do God’s will. In trying to please God, we have discovered an opposition to the will of God in our flesh. Our works against God's will. This is what made Apostle Paul to cry for help. While trying to obey the commandments of God, the flesh would not permit. It has become a common problem in our lives. We have another force working in us and hindering us from obeying the purpose of God.

How can we help ourselves out of such affliction as this? We must learn to submit ourselves totally to the Holy Spirit. It is the help of the Holy Spirit that will make us conform to the will of God. We cannot obey the commandments of God by ourselves, we need the help of the Holy Spirit.
