Domestic Violence. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW
The family should dwell peacefully. We should not allow bitterness in our homes. We should not allow any strive in our hearts. We should not contend with one another. We should live peaceably in our homes.
Violence in the home is not a good thing. It tears the home apart. Violence should be avoided. We should always strive to dwell in peace with one another. Couples are meant to support each other. They are not to battle each other. The peace of God is what we need in our homes. So let's endeavor to be at peace with one another.
1 Peter 3:1, 7 (KJV) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
The Bible advises that husbands should love their wives. A husband should not be a tyrant in his own home. He is a father. A father cares not someone who terrorises the home.
A wife should submit to the husband. A wife must be respectful. A wife should not be insubordinate. She should submit to the husband in all things.
Violence in the home tears the home apart, we must strive for peace.
