Being A True Disciple Of Jesus Christ. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I desire in my heart to be a lover of Jesus. One who truly loves Him more than all these. We remember that the same question was what Jesus Christ asked Peter. He asked him Simon, lovest thou me more than these? I wish to be the one who loves Him more than all these.

This is what it takes to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. As a true disciple, one must love him with all his heart. The commandment of God states that we should the Lord our God with all our hearts and with all our minds and with all our souls. True disciples love God with everything in them. They give all their hearts to do what God commands. There is no other way to please God than to keep His commandments.

John 15:14 (KJV) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

The Lord Jesus Christ said that we are his friends if we do whatsoever he commands us. Doing whatsoever he commands us means that we will not consider whether that is pleasant to us or not. We will willingly do whether we accept it or not. To be a true disciple of Jesus, we must follow all his teachings and doctrines.

Walking in the path carved out for us by Christ proves our discipleship towards Him.
