Now that I know what a verse is

Now that I know what a verse is
I can sit and watch the birds in the sky
As if the world were beginning again
In no hurry to take the non-existent train
Because the subway was swallowed by the earth
And we end up in this monument of rubble
Thinking of the future with empty hands.
Probably now
I'll end up flying
Pretending to be a prehistoric animal
And the afternoon with me
On the route dictated by mathematics
Regardless of the variables imposed by deafness.
Now that I know the destiny
Of the verse that peeks into my silence
Seeking the jugular of the retina
I can take a deep breath
To hear the night murmur in tongue
To lower all the saints
Raise the chalice of your absence
Open the door
And find you naked wrapped in my poem.
