A good thing it is just a little toad kid, not a small crocodile (in comments above I was told they look similar!)

Ahhh yes that is soo true, the nose isn't quite as long as a crocs though (thankfully...🀣)
I wonder if your toad kid will grow up to be like our HUGE cane toads over here in North Queensland..?

Now they are a bit of a menace. They are HUGE, everywhere up there, eat everything- including your pet food and are poisonous too.

I love all animals and although frogs are up in the top of my list, cane toads are wayyyy down there along with Crocs, mozzies, midgies and marchies..

Its great to see you again @qwerrie and you along with many beautiful people here are the reason why I will always come back to the Hive!

I doubt it - the nutritional base here, in the northern europe swamps, is quite slender. but i'm fine with medium-sized toads, too 🐸
