Togetherness is paramount while Lack of preparation and lack of professionalism can cost you more.
Hello beloved Content Writers, my fellow Hivers, I write to you again sharing with you what I experienced few days ago, let's dive in.
I recently had the opportunity to attend a presentation and more like a seminar about building construction and real estate evaluation this even took place at the University of Jos campus auditorium, Jos North Local Government area of plateau state, midway through the seminar after the launching of the program and different estate management companies has done their advertisement three certain individuals which I guess where undergraduate student from estate management department took the stage, two amongst the three were impeccably dressed in cooperate attire exuding "confidence and professionalism " making me remember that saying "you are address the way you dress". Their presentation was fantastic and they presented their message with clarify and conviction many seated where investors and agent which in agreement where nodding heads.
However the third presenter was a different story altogether. He was dressed casually a T-shirt (that is untucked) and a jeans trouser, funny enough he wore a face cap and was reminded to take it off before presenting, I was like don't you want investors to see your face properly? Little did he know that presentation is a way of marketing yourself to top tiers in the industry. As humans I noticed the rage of anger and frustration on the other two individuals, seeing that their performance has been crippled by the lack of preparation of the third individual.
When he started speaking about his topics he stumbled over his words failing to convey his message properly, it was clear the third person lack of preparation and professionalism had brought down the overall quality of the presentation, being a team of three people the two well prepared individuals was affected one way or the other, I believe what was on both minds were if they were allowed to present differently they would have likely receive a higher evaluation and award.
In another similar case that happened few years back in the tertiary institution I graduated from. As every final year student will do a defence by defending your allocated topic given to you, as a group we were five in numbers to present our entire worksheet was done correctly and ready but we had one issue "the dress code" amongst us we had one who dress casually and we knew he wasn't lacking cooperate wears but finds it pleasing to be on casual always not minding the defence day of all days, we scolded him but he was adamant, I knew this would cost us some marks because of a bad egg.
This experience had highlighted the importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded people who don't want to settle for less, when you have colleague who share your ideas, value and work ethic you will definitely reach new heights.
As I reflected on this experience, I was reminded of the gist I had with my elder sister about the importance of having people in your circle as friends that got the same goal, same vision, same values as you that will automatically create an environment that foster growth and success.
So I can affrim that like minded people can help you stay focused and driven especially when challenges are encountered, you can be sure of valuable advice and support just to be on track.
On the other hand surrounding yourself with individuals who don't share same values and vision could be a setback or of stagnation (slow in progress ) and distraction can set in making you not achieve a goal.
The old adage "birds of the same feather flock together" rings through in this context, so dear readers take a closer look at your circle of friends, are they like minded people sharing your values and vision with same goal and work ethic ?. That is a personal question to you.
Take time to do an evaluation of your friends or colleagues, know who you are and what you want and thrive towards it. Don't forget as a believer with God by your side.

Another adage says again "Show me your friend and I'll tell you who you are" obviously the people we walk with have either negative or positive impact directly or indirectly in our lives, it's left for us to choose wisely who to walk with..

I agree with you totally on this point because only friends that are like minded and positive thinkers help you grow.
