Livelihood.
Livelihood, now way too expensive.
Hello and welcome to my blog.
Most Africa countries faces this problems especially where I'm from, Nigeria precisely.
The rate or value of the my country's currency is way low compared to foreign currency like the dollar, the government has claim to have tried every possible way to reclaim that strong value and rate the naira once had but to no avail, so there's high possibility we as citizen would remain like this for who knows when.
The past government and this current government has devalue the country's currency totally, and its a shame, this has made every goods and services way too expensive.
To make matters worse, same government officials now do transaction with foreign currency in Nigeria. Can you imagine the downgrade? That move worsen the naira value to depreciate more.
The regulating body called CBN has pumped money just to put naira back to standard but to no avail, I personally think it just a deliberate tactics to think they are actually working hard. I believe if a different government comes into power, a leader that knows and feel the desperate cries of the nation he will do whatever it takes to bring the country's currency back to its former value.
In the span of ten years every goods, transportation fares, real estate property has drastically skyrocketed, it even tripled at this current government administration. I won't lie or I won't be bias, the current government has devalue the country as a whole. I don't want to digress into the insecurity issues. Let me focus on the livelihood declining aspect.
One of the major thing draining an average Nigerian is the prices of commodities and goods especially food which we all know is very essential. It has gotten to the extent that when a little fluctuations happens naira against the dollar our local product will always be affected, agricultural product planted and harvested in Nigeria here will increase in price. It now dawn on me that so many individuals uses this opportunity for extortion demands they are happy seeing the prices of things increase because it gives an opportunity to steal, extort and manipulate buyers since they're the marketers or producers.
I want the government to install a fixed price in same goods across the country regardless of where located and after a long period of time depending on the situation of the country before price can be regulated.
Price regulations is KEY.
For the citizens that are done in service after thirty five years of their life should be compensated bountifully via pension. I've heard a lot of stories of how after the service they we're not paid fully, this shows total corruption and wickedness in all form.
Lastly, the movement or transportation aspect, this should be subsidized, its even disheartening that a nation that produces its own petroleum is facing big issues regarding gas and petroleum. We can't fully boast of a cheap petroleum again. Embezzlers are doing their wicked work so are the politicians.
Transportation should be subsidized or if possible free at some specific destination within states or neighboring states.

Sincerely speaking the standard of living in Nigeria has now skyrocketed and become unbearable for the average citizen and it seems despite the effort that the government claims they are putting the are no change for the better but rather it's changing for the worse.
I just hope that the government will realise this soon that the laws they are making and changing is only benefiting them but not the average citizen, looking at the price of food, transportation and even health services is enough to know that things are not moving well at all. I hope this change for the better soon, thank you for sharing @chizzy100
I really hope this government take we the citizens into consideration
