The power of Resilience and passion.
Life of a student can be draining,There are lectures,There are assignments,There are deadlines, There are projects and Definitely there are exams. Exams as well all know is quite a lot in hand,The time where I read my books and try to memorize all in a short time. All night awake, Fighting sleep and at same time my act of retention,Inorder to get through this.
If there are some of the inventors that should be brought back into existence and deal with them mercilessly,I would probably point at Imperial China that invented examination in academic settings. Why wouldn't I?. I know this might sound funny 🤣 but why would a teacher teach and assumed that I understood and still goes ahead to give an exam. Let it make sense to me. Lol 😂
I understood something and I think that should wrap it up. Anyways,,,I can tell that the past few weeks was a lot for me and despite that I still show up here to engage in activities,post although not frequently as usual and then cheer myself up.
If I have nothing left in my name in this life, music is something that won't be erased from it .I don't think I would stop loving musics, Because it's not just a beat,But a healing. It speaks to my soul in a way that nothing else does,,,It connects me to my roots sometimes and reminds me each time why I have to push .
This should be one of my hardest times because who would think that I finished an exam this week and about to embark on another one by the end of the month,this is what I signed up for immediately I got myself enrolled into medical school.
Today I want to share one of the songs that became part of me during this time,Not just because of the beat but It reminds me of why I started initially,And as well where I came from. Being an African is something that I have been proud of,We are being taught resilience,We have been taught how to navigate through any situations we found ourselves in no matter how deadly it can be. We don't know the word "giving up" And I believe that's why we thrive in any part of the world where we are being found.
Although it's not all the lyrics that I understood in here,Being someone that came from the South Eastern part of Nigeria,but One thing kept ringing bell into my head each time I have this music played on. The part it said that the pressure is on,I feel it but I got it all ,I should believe it. I felt it was only Shakira that understood what I was passing through that moment. .
Expectations is high and surely I need to meet.
At the time I was growing up,I heard this song being played over places,At the parties,Schools,Shops and different places but I never thought 🤔 I could get so acquainted with it till now that I got to understand that this talks volume more than the beats .
