What Do Natural Disasters Tell Us? Prt1/2 || MCGI Topic Review

Many people look at the world today and say things like, “I don’t like this,” or “Why is the earth this way?” But when we really think about it, the earth was made perfectly by God. The problem is not the earth it’s us. Over time, human actions have damaged the beauty and peace God created.

In the Bible, Genesis 7:11 talks about the great flood during Noah’s time. “The fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” This was a powerful natural disaster, but it didn’t just happen by chance. It came because people had turned away from God. They ignored His ways and followed their own desires.

God didn’t just send the flood out of anger. He warned the people through Noah. Noah listened and obeyed, building the ark as God instructed. Others didn’t believe, so they ignored the warning and continued living in sin and that led to their destruction. The flood was a result of human disobedience, not God's cruelty.

When we look at natural disasters today floods, earthquakes, storms we should pause and ask, what is this telling us? Many times, these disasters are not just random events. It Is a reminder of the damage caused by sin, greed, corruption, and how far humans have drifted from God.

This isn’t to say that every disaster is a direct punishment. It shows us that the earth responds to how we treat it, and more importantly, they remind us to return to God before it’s too late.
