My help comes from God
There are days when life feels really heavy and confusing. I had one of those moments recently. I didn’t feel like talking to anyone, and nothing seemed to be working the way I wanted. While scrolling through my playlist, I saw a song I hadn’t listened to in a while—“My Help” by Eben. Something told me to play it, and I’m so glad I did.
From the first few seconds of the song, I felt a kind of peace that I had been missing. The way Eben started with the words,
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills,” touched me deeply. I’ve heard that verse in church many times, but the way he sang it made it feel fresh and personal.
I am constantly reminded that My help will always come from God in heaven , no matter how hard things get.
The simplicity and yet Powerful nature of the song is what i love the most..The lyrics are not too many, but each line carries a strong message.
The song made me reflect on myself , how many times have i tried to do things on my own.
Listening to Eben’s voice made me feel like I was being reminded again that God never forgets those who trust in Him.
There was a line where he repeated, “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved.” That line stayed with me the whole day.
When passing through some silent battles , the song gave me strength. Calming down and breathing a sigh of relief was what this song gave me,I got the courage to keep moving from this song.
Eben sang from a place of faith, and that is what makes the song different. You can tell he meant every word. I didn’t just hear the music, I felt it. That’s why I keep going back to it whenever I feel weak or discouraged. I God is always present, even when I don’t feel it.
In addition to sounding nice , The song gave me hope , i am very thankful to have listened to it.
