Red symbolises Love - IXORA FLOWER

Ixora is a large genus of tropical shrubs or small trees belonging to the family of "Rubiaceae which is known as "Jungle of geranium". They have leathery green leaves and a terminal corymbs of showy salver shaped flowers, tbey are usually cultivated as ornamentals and used for various purposes.

It is mostly related with passion, love, and spiritual devotion. Some traditions uses Ixora flowers to offer unto deities during their religious ceremonies, which symbolizies devotion and purity.

Ixora often grows in a bushy, rounded form, alongside a dark evergreen leaves, with a four long, glossy, and summer blooms of four petaled red flowers in five wide cymes.

Ixora coccinea is an Ayurvedic medicinal plant that is used in the treatment of a wide range of conditions which includes, hepatic disorders, cancer, ulcers, microbial infections, menstral pains, loss of appetite, and inflammation, diarrhea and gonorrhea.
