Me and my Granddaughter

Hello everyone, I greet you all. My name is Mr David Okechukwu. I'm from Anambra State, Nigeria. I'm a teacher who studied Economics in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I’m a retired civil service but I still spend most of my time teaching young students today in a private institutions to prepare them for their entrance exams to higher institution. I'm a father of four children and a husband to a beautiful hardworking wife.
I love my job and enjoy the teaching profession, it is not one thing many people will rush to go into without considering how much teachers get paid except for those who truly have the passion to make a difference in people's life and groom the young ones to be the best version of themselves.

My passions / Interest:

I enjoy writing and teaching. These are the two most favourite things I love doing even after work my working hours during my leisure time.
Through teaching and writing a lot of information could be passed to others and in fact they are some of the most crucial ways of learning.

Why I'm on hive:

My first son who had finished his higher institution and yet to serve his country through NYSC program told me about this platform hive. According to him he said instead of writing during your leisure time preparing lesson notes most times, you can spare a little time to write something different and express your feelings and emotions, you’ll never know people may like it, encourage you and you get rewarded for it, you can as well learn new things and connect with friends here as well. His username is @baby1 and he's the one who helped me set up this hive account.

I find this platform interesting, especially I love the fact there are different communities for different things anyone would be interested to know more about or even share their knowledge. It's indeed encouraging also to know that original contents thrive here in this space. We live in a world today where artificial intelligence has taken over everything but it was so during my youthful stage. Everything we learnt to do we really worked hard for it but I'm also glad things got a bit easier for the younger generations but I still love picking up a pen and write something originally generated from my head.

What I plan to share
The things I plan to share on this platform will be more of my writings not just about my course Economics but more of my life experiences, travels, music and culture and lots more.

I want to thank all the mastermind behind the creation of this beautiful platform and the beautiful men and women who actively make this community to be active and running. Thanks everyone, I'm happy to not only witness but be part of this beautiful hive community where knowledge thrives.
