DANGEROUS GIFT (The Beginning)

CHAPTER 1: DEATH, TRAUMA AND SEPARATION...

Bart and Iris were identical twins of opposite sex, they are currently 14 years old. Wei Chen was their father, he had an ancient Chinese background, which he kept a secret from his wife Molly and also, from his kids. She was an American, Wei didn't want to bother her with some ancient Chinese propaganda, she wouldn't understand.

One day Wei came home and instructed his wife to pack their bags, and everything important they might need, immediately.(Intense fear reflected through Wei's eyes as he spoke)...
Molly asked why, Wei promised he'd explain everything when they are safer, but right now, they need to move out immediately.
Molly hurriedly packed up a few things and then grabbed her kids, and off they went in their SUV..
Bart: Mommy!!! what's going on, where are we going by this time of the night...
Molly: em! your father is taking us out of town for a while, we'll be back when things settle down.(Molly said sharing a look with both Wei and Bart).
Iris: Is everything okay? Why do I feel like we're running away?
Molly looked at her husband, she didn't know what to say, so Wei jumped on the conversation and said, Iris, Baby, everything is fine, we are just going for a while, we will be back, okay!!!
Guys (he addressed everyone), You don't have to panic, I've got this under control.
Do not be scared, okay!!!

The kids echoed an Okay in response.

They drove deep into the night, the kids where fast asleep, but Molly wasn't.
Molly asked, what exactly is going on? You seemed terrified when you came home asking me to pack up, I've never seen you that way before...
Wei looked at Molly, and took a deep breath, and said, I promise you'll soon understand, (He held her left hand with his right hand, and pat it softly while he continued driving with his left hand).

Molly took a chill pill (figuratively), soon she was also asleep. Wei didn't stop driving, he wanted to get as far away as possible before the Fân mó tuán's figures out that, he took the ancient road. He was driving through a forgotten road that led to China, they were practically the only ones on that road, but still it's safer (Wei thought to himself) even though it's a 3 days drive.

Wei figured they would spot them on the Airport if they tried to use a flight, and there's no direct railway to China, it would have been better than driving for 3 days, but Wei didn't care,he knew that's his only safe option; drive all the way to China.

It was dawn, Wei was very tired, he practically drove all night, he didn't have any sleep at all. Wei was feeling sleepy, but he was scared that if he pulls over and sleeps, he'd leave his family vulnerable to his enemies, so he continued driving. Wei began to Zone out slowly. 1 second his eyes are open, the next second his eyes are closed, he only wakes up after loosing him self to a clumsy fall. Wei tried all he could to fight the sleep, but it didn't go away. He finally slept off with his leg on the throttle. The car zoomed without control. Soon the straight road was slowly coming to and end, and there's a sharp right turn ahead, but Wei was fast asleep. The car zoomed off the way, into a sloppy forest, filled with trees. Just immediately, Wei, Molly and the kids all woke up. Wei yelled at his wife and kid, "Sit belts now!!!
His kids managed to buckle up their sit belts, but Molly didn't get a chance to buckle up hers because she trembled in fear. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably, she couldn't slot the sit belt into it's lock. Wei was too busy trying to get hold of his wheels, he didn't even notice his wife struggling, neither did he remember to buckle his own sit belt.

Just when Wei thought he started to gain control, BOOM💥 went his left back tire, Wei quickly hit the brakes, and the car went tumbling.
During the tumble, Wei hit his chest hard on the steering wheel (the Airbag didn't go off for some reason), and Molly broke her neck.
2 hours after the accident, at about 8 am, Wei regained consciousness, but he sustained serious damages.
He looked back, his kids were still trapped by the sit belt, he managed to get out of the car, and rescued his kids. He checked and they were still breathing, he gave a big sigh of relief. Then he went for his wife, he found her dead with her head twisted to the left side of her neck.
Wei cried out loud, his voice echoed in the Forest scaring birds and other animals away for a split second. He pulled her out of the car, grabbed the remaining supplies from the SUV and attended to the little injuries he found on his kids....
Wei conjured his powers into his kids before he died...

Bart woke up and found his parents, laying side by side, he looked closely and found his moms neck twisted, he screamed and staggered backwards like he was stuck on reverse, then he fell on his sister, Iris.
Iris woke up and tried to calm Bart down, she didn't know why he was screaming. Then Bart pointed her to the direction of their parents, when Iris looked and saw her parents, she squat and weep deeply, tears ran down non stop from her eyes down to her cheek.
She hugged Bart tightly as they both cried....
What they saw that morning, they would never forget it through out their life time.
