Hello, ladies of hive.
Quickly, I would go on and give my answer to the prompt question, which says

A mystical and powerful being offers
you the chance to reincarnate, but you must choose between two options: the first is to keep the memories of your past life but without meeting the same people again. The second option is to forget everything but find the same people around you reincarnated just like you. Which would you choose and why?

If given the choice, I would go for the second option. Now the reason why I don't quite like the first one is that I see no reason why I should hold onto memories of people that I would never get to see but whom I know may exist somewhere in the world. I feel like I may play those memories over in my head and might want to link up with them just so we could create some more beautiful moments or do things we used to that I enjoyed and also, I might want to make up for areas where I had lapses. It may get worse such that I begin to compare my life with them with those of the people I have surrounding me in that moment. And oh, I know I might feel out of place and like a fraud with the new people. It goes on and on as there are many scenarios playing in my mind.

With the second option, I stand the chance to just live life afresh. On a new start. Making new memories with none from the past-a former life - clashing. I guess with meeting the people from my past life, they, just like me, would have no memories of our past. It's better this way. I don't see why I should drag on an old world into a new world when the odds aren't quite stack in my favor. That's just how I think of it now. My thoughts may change by the morrow, but now, this is my pick.

I'd also pick the second one because that first option will definitely be torture for me. The regrets, the shame from things did in that life, will continue to plague me, with no chance to redeem myself. I don't think I can stand that actually.

Being able to compare previous situations and previous people in the new life is undoubtedly an important point for which many people would not even be willing to do so.
