NEEDED INFRASTRUCTURE IN MY LOCALITY

There are many needs in the society, but, especially when you live in a city which should look better considering it is a choiced location, everyone has much more expectations.

When my parents moved houses to a different part of the state, one of the availabilities in that area which I never thought was possible there and which blew my mind was the presence of constant power supply. It surprised me very much. One or two times before, I had heard about how good the supply was but since I has almost never had to live there, I never believed. It was unbelievable to me that any part of the state had that much - 24hours power supply which lasted for two/three weeks straight. Only once or twice was the supply cut in a full month. You can imagine.
However, I noticed that, even with our previous location(didn't have as much supply as the new place, though), there is usually one thing in surplus and other areas had to suffer. For the previous location, what was needed was stable power supply, but for the new location, a good road network is needed. You see how it is, yeah?

That said, I would move on to sharing what I think my present location needs. I'm in school, by the way, and so this is where I spend the most of days save for holiday breaks when I may go back to my parent's place.

Here, the supply of power is fair, the road is in good state, water is running and clean, but the sanitation level is quite poor.
Thing about this is that there are no dumpsites at strategic locations. Of course, there are government workers who go out really early in the morning to sweep the roads and keep them clean, and as much as that helps, it's not the solution.

It so happens that people trash their wastes, not like their whole bin on the road. I mean, they litter the place with, say, water sachets, packs from what they buy and eat in the day, and all that. Like, it's not a new sight when someone throws out a wrap from a moving vehicle. It's almost a normal. I hate the sight of it and I never litter. It's disgusting, but what can I say?

The bad thing about it all is that, when people litter and rain comes, it washes all of those dirty into the already almost filled up gutters and they settle there causing blockage and disgusting sight. This can be worse when these things don't flow and even when they do, it is to pollute river bodies. I feel like dumpsites are important, and maybe, if it is made available at every stop and strategic location, people might learn to use them(it's gon be hard) and it will not be lodged in the gutters causing an eyesore and being breeding sight for mosquitoes and other infectious parasites.

This, in my opinion, is a way to reduce health hazards. Mosquitoes, the causative and carrier agents of malaria which is arguably the illness that the most of us suffer around are always found in these water bodies that are stagnant and filled with all manner of filth.

This might be a small need and infrastructure when compared to others like modern state-of-the-art hospitals, good road network, hospitals and some others, buy I feel like this is a necessary need in my current location. There's so much that this little infrastructure could help us with around here, I tell you.

However, even before the government, I feel like there are basic things we as citizens/individuals can help do fot ourselves, because, in whatever way we want to look at it, they are most beneficial to us. At my parent's current location, the people are pooling together resources to work on the road to make it fairly easy for movement, until whenever the government steps in to fo the major work. I was surprised when I learned about it. Before I left home, they were already working on street lights. It's just impressive.

It might be the government's responsibility to handle tasks as such, but we can also step in too and be helpful in such ways as ensuring our environment I'd kept tiny and hygienic by not literring or disposing wastes indiscriminately. Right now, I'm doing my bit to keep wherever I am clean as well as educating people around me to.
Hopefully, we all learn to, one day.

I like that part where you mentioned that we as citizens also have some roles to play. I do not know how people get very comfortable throwing dirts around anyhow. Change actually starts with us and in the little way we can, we should try to help the government by doing our own part.

This is a good one we have here. This is happening in most areas and even in the place I lived in. You will see people pouring their dirty in the drainage anytime the rain is falling just to wipe them away not knowing that they are using that one to block the drainage the more.

Of course we also have our role to play, as the government can't do everything.
People really needs to be educated on how to maintain a good hygiene, the reckless way some people dispose their waste is uncalled for.

The Government really has a lot to do. They need to begin working than talking or promising. Our concerns are many and they need to be met
