MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

I'm not late to the party, am I? I mean, since Mother's Day was only a few days back, I hope it's okay that I still write about it. Only that, this time, I'd be sharing what I did rather than what I would do.

Mother's Day was a memorable one for my mother(oh, and even my dad. Don't ask me why he's involved). I have amazing parents, and we(my siblings and i) make the effort to ensure that they're celebrated and appreciated every moment. But even more, on special occasions, we try to do even better.

This mother's day, my mum was away on a visit to the village. I had initially planned to go back home from school for the weekend and make some really nice dishes for my mum alongside gifting her a few things, but that couldn't be done.
For that reason, I spoke with my siblings, and we agreed to send her cash gifts. There's this thing at the church she attends whenever she's in the village, where mother's are called out and their kids, spouses, relatives, friends, or whoever had come to celebrate with them showers them with gifts be it cash or material things.

In our case, we planned to make money rain. We sent some cash through my dad, some through one of my brother's friends, and we also sent some to her account. She was overjoyed. She said she hadn't expected that much. Saying she even had to share with other women who didn't have anyone gift them. She kept singing our praises and sending prayers. My dad, too(well, they'd both enjoy it all together, you get?).

It felt so good hearing the excitement in her voice. It may not have been done in the measure that I wanted, but I was glad about it. She was too, and that's what's most important, yeah?
