HERE'S HOW LONG I CAN GO WITHOUT USING MY PHONE...

For the past twenty-four hours, I had to go without my phone. Our power supply was cut short due to an issue with the transformer, which has been fixed. The inverter at home seems to have developed some fault of sort, and we didn't turn on the generator.

I'm not someone who is heavily reliant on her phone. Yes, when it's on, I do a lot with it and have it around at all times, but take it away, and I would fate just fine, too.
I say it, just as a lot of other persons agree and say too that the world is getting increasingly reliant on technology. People are becoming heavily obsessed with their gadgets. And I'm not even talking about those whose offices are their phones, those who work remote jobs. I'm referring to all those outside that bracket. Take away our gadgets, and you would be surprised what a lonely, dull world we have. You would be surprised(or not) to find that many have lost touch with their lives and the goings-on in the offline world. It's quite pathetic, I tell you.

The prompt asks if I can go an hour, excluding when I'm asleep without my phone, and I raised an eyebrow in tthe "is this even a question" type of manner cause this is easy-peasy. And, I would love to assume that it's the same for everyone else. I sure can go without my phone for an hour, two hours, a day, and even days. I've even had to go for over a week and more without it. Two days without it, and i may just adjust to not having it at hand. The first few hours are usually the crucial point where anyone would get the itch and uneasiness for it. It's not like I'm a social media person who gets caught up there. I'm mostly reading novels, writing, doing personal stuff, or getting indulged in the delights of my own world when I'm with my phone. Besides, these days, I'm keeping myself busy with certain offline tasks and skills that require my attention. For that reason, I'm watching my screen time, leaving no room for mindles s phone businesses. It's helpful in a lot of ways for me. I always look forward to that weekly message that tells me whether i used my phone mors or less in that week. If its al lot more, i like to check myself and question why its so. If it's less, i feel somewhat glad but still have to check myself to be sure what i used the extra hours for. Its important to me that my time is well spent. There's a lot that needs my attention, and I've taken the time to study those things online that sap my time, which I otherwise would claim isn't enough but which I spend on my phone. This way, I maximize every moment.

I feel like if anyone says that they can't go an hour without their phones, then they have a problem which they need to get fixed as soon as possible. Phones are a great companion, but they should never be an obsession. Never ever.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

I think the reason a lot of people can't do without their phones is because it's the source of income for them, so they often have no choice but to stay fixed to their screens.

Still, it's important to not stay out of touch with our environment. It's all about balance.
