CHRISTMAS IDEAS THAT BINDS
Growing up, we all anticipated the Christmas season. Once we get into the month of September, we get excited, the air smells different, the mood is thrilling, and everything begins to feel fun.
No season beats Christmas. No season beats the amount of love. and sharing that is exhibited this time. And when the Christmas season is finally over, we already begin to countdown and look forward to the next one.
For a lot of people, especially in this part of the world, the Christmas celebrations are made special by celebrating and being with family. I mean, I grew up traveling to my hometown for every Christmas holiday. It was like a ritual. And every year, my cousins and relatives showed up too. It was usually the one and (arguably, only) time in the year that everyone has some free time to meet up and be together so we like to make the best of it.
Coming together to catch up and eat and chill with family is just great, but to make it even more fun and memorable, I think a few little activities should be included and carried out.
Personally, I think that one of them is seeing an old movie together. This might seem like nothing big, but trust me, it creates spark. The movie should be something from back in the day. An old movie that the family used to watch together back then or just an old movie that everyone was fond of. And if it has doses of comedy in the scenes...even better. This brings everyone together.
Another such activity is going through family pictures/albums. Sometimes, I come aacross old pictures and I take them to whichever family members is around, and we talk about the story about it and laugh and relieve those moments. That's exactly the point for me. Relieving past moments through pictures. It sort of strengthens the tie, leaving a sweet, warm taste in the mouth, and it bonds the family nore.
Basically, it's abput doing all the things that members of family used to do when they had not all started to live differently or just relive moments by trying everything they always loved.
These are no big things to do. But they surely could be the highlight for the people involved and as they go on into the year, they most likely would hold unto these memories which keeps family closer to them in their hearts and makes them look forward to the next Christmas break.
Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
