Wow, you captured a lot of them. I really don't know much about snail time but I know after a heavy rainfall, they tends to crawl out of their hideout.

Yes. That's true. But sometimes when you are deep into snail hunting, you will absolutely know where and how to trace its steps.
That's amazing. I heard the small snails we picked around after rainfall doesn't get bigger like the ones in the market. How true is it?
They have slim chances because nowadays, we have hybrid breed of snails. Mainly for reproduction and rearing. When you buy them, they get bigger within few months. But the one you are talking about have slim chances.
