Wednesday Walk: A Stroll in Olongapo City with My Partner

Blog Banner.png

My partner and I lived in the city for about half a year in 2024, and it made us got used to the life in there for a while. So, when we decided to go back home in our province, we had major adjustments on the way we lived. From the fast food restaurants to cooking at home, and even spending time walking in the streets to having peaceful and slow afternoon in the countryside.

But after almost a year of living back in the province, we have decided to also travel to the city and spend some time there - even just a simple stroll. And this will be my entry to the #WednesdayWalk by @tattoodjay.

We travelled going to the city for about an hour. We did not drove our motorbike for now, since my partner wanted to ride a public transportation like we used to when we're still back in the city.

After an hour of long ride, we finally touched down in the city. We planned on going to Harbor Point Ayala, so we had to ride another public transportation to go there. We went to the terminal tricycle, and told the driver where we are headed.

I think we felt the "culture shock" especially in the surroundings. We usually see greenery and mountains back in our hometown, but at this moment, we are looking at buildings and busy streets.

The driver dropped us off to the location, and we started walking towards the Ayala Mall Center. It will be a few minutes of walk, but we don't mind since it has been a year since we last came to the city. We just enjoyed every step we took and made sure to make the best out of the moment.

When we got to the mall center, we felt excited in roaming around. Actually, we did not over-plan everything and we just wanted to go along with what we feels like doing the whole day.

We were welcomed by the warm ambiance of the Ayala Mall, and the moment we saw the entrance door, we got more excited on what's yet to come in the next hours.

We started walking around the stores, and also visited our favorite brands like Penshoppe, Bench, Nike, and World Balance. These were our go-to brands whenever we wanted to look for something new they offer.

It took us hoours of walking and checking out the mall, both from the inside and the outside. The next stories on what we did the whole day will be shared in a different blog, together with where we ate for lunch. For now, let me just share with you our walking journey in the city.

It took us hoours of walking and checking out the mall, both from the inside and the outside.

I am sure you found quite some interesting products, but walking in a mall for hours can also get rather expensive, I guess, hehe! 😊
