Finding Peace in the Slow Lane & Simple Living in Tune With Nature

It has been almost 2 years since I decided to go back home. From noisy streets and high buildings, to quiet surroundings and more nature scenes. That is the kind of change I wanted to embrace before, and I am living with it now. When I decided to leave my corporate job in the city and chose living in the countryside with my family, I felt like it was another tough decision I need to make in life.

Yes, I got home. Families and relatives welcomed me back. But what really felt like home more than the warm welcome from these people, is when I embraced the peaceful life in our province, and my hometown.

After months of being in the city, all I heard was the people getting busy, the bustling road, and the lively surroundings that make time feels moving in a faster pace. But when I got back home, it was a place with slow mornings, where you enjoy every moment. From savoring a cup of coffee in the morning without pressures, and hearing the wind whistle through your ears. These moments put me into the slow lane.

Not just that. Here comes the nature. The beautiful nature we have access to. The mountains, where we could watch the sunrise and sunset. Just a little walk, and we could witness a beautiful scene of the sky changing in colors.

And what else should I not forget? Oh, we have access to a river. It is not just a tourist spot or a famous picnic area. People who live here in our community gets a lot of perks from this blessing from nature. We can get fresh fish. We can get shells, and vegetables who grow just beside the river. There are a lot we can get here, not just the beautiful scenery.

My hometown is popular for picnics and nature trips. You can climb a mountain, swim in the river, and even just randomly sitting down watching the surroundings here. You will love every bit of scenes around you. And this is the home I will never regret choosing – because I get to be in the slow lane, and in tune with nature.
