PART 3

Elena Maudy Arya. She is the daughter of Viktor Arya and Elisa Arya. Elena studied from childhood to high school in Indonesia. Then Elena had to move abroad, specifically to Russia, to follow her father who was developing a business there. Her mother also moved and settled there.

Elena has been left by her father since elementary school at the age of 11 because her father Viktor had to work abroad. After graduating from high school, Elena and her mother followed her father to Russia. It was only after his father's company, which was built from zero began to become successful and grow that they were able to reunite.

Previously, their family's economy could be said to be lacking. Therefore, when Elena was 11 years old, her father made the decision to go to Russia to improve the family's fate. Indeed, her father really liked gambling. While in Indonesia he only worked as a laborer. Then he was fired from his job and became unemployed. Finally Viktor Arya tried to gamble and gamble.

In the beginning, Viktor Arya always won and got a lot of money from gambling. Over time he always lost and got into debt here and there. Finally, Arya's family was left with debts that could not be repaid. Viktor then received an offer from a friend of his father's from Russia. His father's friend's name was Nikolas. Nikolas is a friend of Viktor’s father. He offered Viktor a promising job in Russia. Without thinking, he immediately agreed to Nikolas' offer to come work with him in Russia until he became as successful as he is now. Viktor's father or Elena's grandfather was originally Russian but had died. From there, Viktor was offered to work with him in Russia and beforehand he would pay off his debts due to losing in gambling.

Viktor and Elisa Arya live in a fairly large house in the city of Azov. Meanwhile, Elena wants to study at Azov University, which is located quite far from her house. So Elena rented an apartment near her campus at Azov university. At first Elena's mother did not agree to Elena's wishes because they were so far apart. However, Elena's wish was to study at Azov University because the International Relations department is good there.

Unfortunately today, Elena seems to have slept too well. She didn't realize that she had to go to class at 7 in the morning. She woke up and was surprised to see that the clock on the wall in his room was already 6.45 am. Elena got out of her soft bed and immediately took a shower to get ready for her second day of college.

On the way to campus, Elena walked as she remembered that last night was a very stressful night. She was confronted by a group of thugs and almost got robbed or something even worse. Luckily Alez was there to help her. Now Alez's figure haunts her mind...

Bruuukkk!!!

"Oops, sorry!" Elena said apologetically because she realized it was her mistake.

Elena accidentally bumped into a boy with light brown hair with a modern hairstyle. The guy is tall and has a good body, you can see from the clothes he wears.

"It's okay. Just relax."

His smile... His eyes... Elena couldn't deny that this guy was very cute.

"Yes. Excuse me," casually.

"Eh, wait!" this guy said again but Elena was already running in a hurry.

A book entitled "What is International Relations" fell in front of the boy. The book belongs to Elena Maudy. He then took and carried the book with him.

Elena's class started 15 minutes ago. She was really late that morning. Unfortunately, the book she was supposed to use that morning wasn't there too. What a mess.

"Elena, where have you been? It's been so long I thought you didn't come in!" Tania said excitedly.

"Phew... Yes, I woke up a bit late. I was really sleepy. My head is still dizzy,"

"Huh? Where did you come from last night? Drunk?"

"NO! I'll tell you later. Now I don't know where my HI book is. It's not in my bag either," added Elena panicked.

"Okay, use mine first."

"Okay. Oh, what could it be...," Elena remembered that she had bumped into a guy, maybe that's why her book fell.

A few moments later, a boy entered Elena's class too. He was later than Elena. The guy was late but he was relaxed and didn't feel burdened or guilty about being late. Indeed, lectures are more relaxed than at school. Lecturers rarely reprimand them because it seems like the ones who need knowledge are not the lecturers but the students.

No. It wasn't Alez, but Maksim, the guy who accidentally hit Elena because Elena was in a hurry. For some reason, Elena's mind always imagines the figure of Alez who saved her last night.

"Tania, I accidentally bumped into him. Then because of that, my book fell," said Elena, chuckling.

"Ohhh, that's Maksim, right? He's a senior, right? But he's majoring in business. Why didn't you know?"

"Yeah, I don't know. But it's true that I often see him. But I don't know either."

"Many new students have a crush on him. He’s like an idol," said Tania, who knows everything.

"Yeah, he's pretty handsome, cool. But he's like a playboy, isn't he?"

"How come there's a girl who doesn't want to be with Maksim? You definitely want to, right, Elena!" said Tania chuckling.

"No, I don't like playboys. As handsome as they are, as cool as they are, no!" said Elena proudly.

"Hey, he's not just handsome, cool, Elena. He's really rich. His father owns the biggest gemstone mine in Azov, you know!" said Tania.

"Wow! You really know everything, Tan. Ckckckk... I'm amazed!" responded Elena.

"Yes, yes. That's why being a curious person is useful, isn't it," explained Tania.

"Does that mean you definitely want to be with Maksim? He's already handsome, cool, like the son of a conglomerate?!"

"I'm still thinking about that too, El. It's crazy. Where would he want to be with me? Too high," explained Tania.

"Well, that's the same then!"

"The girls who have been with Maksim are of model standard. Beautiful, tall, slim. You know what Russian girls are like," Tania explained.

"The girls are material, Tania. Imagine that she's the daughter of a gem mine boss. That's jewels, right? He is the one who owns the mine, damn it!" Elena said she was joining in backbiting, aka gossip.

"Yes, it's true. It's like Maksim is perfect. It's too perfect that I don't want to. I'm already feeling inferior the first time!" Tania said.

"Then what do you want, Tania? You don't even want the perfect one, right?"

"Yes, it's just normal, the important thing is love and loyalty, cheeehh..."

Elena smiled and agreed with her friend's answer. She also doesn't want to be too grandiose when it comes to boys. Besides, she's still a mess when it comes to college, especially when she's in a relationship with a guy. However, Alez is the only one who currently amazes Elena. There was something charming about his nonchalance. Behind his attitude, Elena is sure that Alez is hiding something that cannot be revealed.

"Hey, lady! You like to daydream, don't you?"

Elena was shocked. For a moment he was lost in thought. Then Tania pinched him hard enough to make him wake up from his reverie, "Uh? Yes?"

The guy smiled. The guy he was talking to Tania just a few seconds ago is now sitting right next to him.

"This is your book, right? You dropped it earlier," said Maksim as he gave the book to Elena.

"Oh yes, that's right. This is my book. Oh, thank you," she answered awkwardly.

"You're welcome. You don't mind if I sit here, do you?" Maksim asked.

"Of course," Elena asnwered.

"I didn't think we were in the same class, huh?"

"Yeah,” said Elena simply.

"My name is Maksim, you are Elena?" Maksim said while shaking hands.

"Yes, that's right. You saw my name in this book, right?"

"Yes, I called you earlier but you already ran away," Maksim explained.

It turned out that Maksim was majoring in business in the 3rd semester and he was taking the same course as Elena, HI. She didn't expect that Maksim could also be in the same class as her in this course.
