Journey of Love

Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hopefully you are all doing well. I want to share a little bit story about my December 4th, which is yesterday. It is really perfect date for me because it is my wedding anniversary date. It has been 7 years I spent with my husband and I can’t wait for the next years ahead with him together. I have a son, named Darren. He is 6 years old kid and now at kindergarten school.

Before that, I would like to share my throwback moments with my husband. In 2015 on May, he knew me from one of my friend on social media, it was Path platform. Unfortunately, it doesn’t exist anymore. After that, he asked my friend a little bit things about me. Then he bravely sent message and said hello to me through chat. At first I did not reply any message from him. Until, he sent a lot of messages to me with some kind of chit chat messages. Finally, I replied his messages and asked him some questions too, where he lived, what he was doing, bla bla. I was quite surprised at where he lived or where he was from. He lived in Yogyakarta which is so far away from my city, Malang. It takes 392 kilometers and 8 hours by train. Yogyakarta is in Central Java and Malang is in East Java. We were the same Java fortunately haha but still it was too far for me. Well, at that time I just thought that it might be a friendship with him. Never mind.

It was not over yet for sure. The chit chat was going on for long time between me and him. We had such chemistry somehow. We had a favorite nickname for each other, it was “ngok” and until now I still call him “ngok”. It was pretty funny, uh? Lol. We did calling and video calling for at least 2 months. We did not meet each other yet. We just kept in touch by video calling every day. We shared our activities, experiences, habits, wishes, and dreams even asking about little things. We were on the same year of birthday so maybe that’s why we feel compatibility. Sometimes we fought each other about something not too important but at the end we made it up quickly. For your information, we were not in relationship yet but it was almost getting there.

I had been in serious or I could say “deep” relationship with someone for three times before. My husband is the fourth boyfriend of mine. Laugh out loud. So, I had many deep and meaningful words about our messages. He wanted to make a commitment with me after we met later on. Actually, I did not expect too much about him because I did not believe in long distance relationship. Truly, I hated it. For me it was a bull sh*t. I mean it doesn’t make any sense if we had a relationship but we rarely met each other. For me it was difficult to do even imagine for once. He was in Central Java and I was in East Java. What a nightmare. Basically, I was a girl who had a trust issues especially with my own boyfriend. Oh come on it is important in relationship! Yeah, I knew it but I really did not want to be heartbroken. That was a reality. It was really hard to find someone who was loyal and sincere these days.

Finally, the day had come. it was on June, at the same year, he came to my hometown, Malang. He really fulfilled his promises to me. He departed from Yogya in the morning then he got here in the evening. I was booked him a hotel near from my house. The hotel’s name was Morina hotel. Then I came to his hotel and we finally met each other for the first time. He hugged me and said that he missed me even we never met before. What a moment!

I bring him to my house and I introduced him to my mom and my brother. They both welcomed him and then we went dinner together at the restaurant named Noodle Inc. I do remember that moment until now. It was such a beautiful memory and unforgettable moment in my life. I never thought that it was becoming a special moment that could change my whole life.

On June, 27th we were officially in relationship. He became my boyfriend and he was already mine, still mine till now. He stayed in Malang for 3 days then he should go back to his hometown and left me alone. It was what I feared the most. The long distance between us becoming an obstacle. I said to him that I could not stand if we had a long distance. He was so far away from here and what about our next journey. I could not come with him to his hometown because I thought I was not ready for it clearly. Then he had a solution for our relationship. He wanted to move here and stay in my hometown. That was his decision. I was thinking like “for real? Are you serious?” just for me? He wanted to stay here with me, only because of me. I was his only reason to get apart from his family there. He said he was so serious with me and he wanted to bring our relationship further.

I was thinking that he was the one for me. He is the one. He is the one I was looking for. I really felt that his love was so real and he proved it not just in sweet words but real actions. He fought for me. He proved it to me that he truly loved me indeed. I am always being myself when he’s with me. He said that he was so lucky to have me but I felt the same. I never imagined or expected this kind of relationship. But, I really ran into it by myself. We were genuinely in love. He is my actual home. A true love does exist.

I do believe in God. I believe He gave me the best man for me. He gives all the best for me. I am so grateful for him. I never expected I could find someone special as my husband who is a kind hearted, faithful, patient and so honest. He is the best guidance and support system for me. He is always there when I need him. I knew all his lack, his foolishness, and stuff but so what? Nobody’s perfect. I was happy instead I knew all about his shortcomings and flaws before we got married.

Our next step was marriage. Before we got married, we were on engagement. It was on March, 27th 2016, our engagement day. Then we got married on December 4th, 2016. It has been 7 years until now. It was blown my mind away. It was a long journey. Seven years is not a short time, we have been through so much pain and happiness, ups and downs. It is not easy but we would face it together, as long as we are together, we can make it!
