Have a Sparkling Year!

Hello all literature lovers. This time I want to express something within myself through poetry. I haven't written a poem in a long time but I like it. My basic is from literature, especially English literature. I used to study in that field and studied poetry, literary books, the author of famous poems such as William Shakespeare, famous book such as Pride and Prejudice, I have already read and analyze this.

This is very interesting and I also have some song lyrics that I wrote on my own. What's interesting about writing poetry is that we can express all our feelings by arranging beautiful words and produce a masterpiece that is amazing and has artistic taste.

Remember, that not everyone can write poetry and arrange words into a good work. We realize that we are people who are very rarely found these days, especially among young people, who is able to create poetry, is that correct? Let’s see!

Starlight

You are a shining star, a very beautiful and sparkling star.
Your brilliance is like a riot of cheers making it the center of attention.
Your bright light always illuminates my nights,
Join my loneliness and guides me in the darkness of my heart.

Your eternal, timeless light is always focused on me, shining on my barren soul.
Your glow radiates beauty and majesty that cannot be matched.
How beautiful is Your creation,
How great are the carvings of your mighty hand, O Lord!
Becoming the brightest star among the others

I was frozen motionless, stunned, my eyes could not blink,
seeing all the precious glorious radiance that you conveyed.
My eyes will always be on you because you are the center of healing for all my bitterness,
Following the light that is in you is the most perfect goal that I missed.

I know you will always be there when the sky is not on your side.
Do not ever let your light dim because of your limitations,
Disappear like scattered pebbles that cause burning wounds,
Blacken to charcoal ash then melt and gone.

Do not take away my star, O Mighty Lord, the only ray of hope in my empty and shapeless heart,
The loneliness that eroded me more and more wildly, making my pure color inside fade slowly.
Do not be burned by your own hot light amidst the boundless darkness that surrounds you.

Why are you so far away that I can not reach, I am just like a grain. I feel so meaningless.
Seeing you here, from an infinite distance.
You are untouchable, unreachable.

I am helpless and do not have the slightest strength to see you up close,
Feel your warmth which can warm my eternal cold of my heart.
Even if I could see you up close, would I be hurt myself because your light is too dazzling to the eyes and makes my whole soul burnt?

Maybe it would be better for you to stay far away, stay untouchable.
Maybe it would be better for my powerless soul to admire your beautiful sparkle from afar...
