Sportsfest at Bacolod City College 2025

I hope you all are doing well. I am glad to share this important event in our school with the theme: Transcend unleashing potential and cultivating sports excellence.
The day we await has come. As being one of the students here in our main campus. I am overwhelmed to see my fellow colleagues again. We are here to witness the opening of our Sportsfest 2025.
For today's big event, I'm an early bird haha. We had a call time at 7:30 am and I arrived at the Activity center 20 minutes before the start time. I am so proud of my self for waking up at 5 am in the morning and taking a bath with cold water.

A highly anticipated event started with welcoming parade of athletes in four departments. Each department represented the Mr and Ms BCC candidates wearing their sports jerseys. The activity center was full of loud cheer and energy everytime the emcee introduced every college courses. Next, the invocation and after that each departments explains what the meaning of their jerseys is. Sashing the candidates of Mr and Ms BCC that will represent in the foundation week. Followed by the inspirational and motivational messages of every city councilors and officials. One of the proud students of Bacolod City College is now a city councilor and he shares that whatever challenges may we encounter, we must strive hard to finish our education. Luckily, we have a generous Congressman that gives us a donation worth 200k to support the players and as their cash prizes. Our college administrator was happy on stage haha. Also, they are the one who judge the sports jerseys and the Blue Raven (COED) won the best jersey award.

Four houses —Ferocious Lions (CBOA): Roar with Power, Roar with Pride!, Blue Raven(COED): Soaring to blue victory, transcending through great glory!, Blazing Phoenix(IT): Rising from the flame - ready to transcend to victory!, and Active Lynx(ACT-BSIS): Fuel the passion, Conquer the game –the highest we aim!. Each will compete to claim victory and only the strongest will rise. The sportsfest contains outside sports and inside sports in two weeks. Such as; basketball, volleyball, table tennis, darts, scrabble, game of generals, MLBB, and etc. Although I am not an athlete, I am willing to give my moral support to my department which represents the Active Lynx. I know that they will to their best to bring the bacon to our department. We must maintain the title of overall champion in sports haha. But kidding aside, sportsfest is not all about sports. Just like our college administrator said in her remarks, it is camaraderie and sportsmanship as a student. Where in fact, it is the way of enhancing the skills and passion of each BCCian.
Finally, I am excited to witness every sports and give my full moral support especially to my classmates who will be joining the competition. What an energetic day to start this long week!
