We started by making the molds out of white recycled paper. I loved making the little bodies and the childish faces of all the characters.

Comenzamos haciendo los moldes en papel blanco de reciclaje. Me encantó hacer los cuerpos pequeños y las caras infantiles de todos los personajes.

Let's transfer the molds to the foamy. For this we need a wooden stick with a sharp tip like a pencil. This way there will be no pencil marks on the foamy.

Then we are going to cut out all the pieces trying to make the scissors slide so as not to leave uneven cuts.

Vamos a transferir los moldes al foamy. Para esto necesitamos un palito de madera con una punta afilada como un lápiz. De esta manera no quedaran marcas del lápiz en el foamy.

Luego vamos a recortar todas las piezas tratando de que la tijera deslice para no dejar cortes disparejos.

Once we have all the pieces, we can mark them on the back so as not to get confused since there are 8 characters, we will start painting one by one.

Una vez que tenemos todas las piezas, podemos marcarlas en la parte de atrás para no confundirnos ya que son 8 personajes, vamos a comenzar a pintar una por una.

We take the cardboard and with hot silicone we are going to assemble each one of the characters. We start by gluing the back pieces that will be flat.

For the front pieces, we are going to emboss with the hot iron.

Tomamos el cartón y con silicón caliente vamos a armar cada uno de los personajes. Comenzamos pegando las piezas de atrás que seran planas.

Para las piezas de adelante, vamos a repujar con la plancha caliente.

When we have each character glued on the cardboard, we are going to cut out leaving 1 centimeter of cardboard all around. I made some cuts all over the cardboard to give it a different style and then with brown oil pastel chalk I painted the border.

Cuando tenemos cada personaje pegado sobre el cartón, vamos a recortar dejando 1 centímetros de cartón por todo el contorno. Le hice unos cortes a todo el cartón para darle un estilo diferente y luego con tiza oleo pastel de color marrón pinté el borde.

I really liked the final result of the characters with the edge of the cardboard sticking out. This is optional, you can also cut the cardboard without leaving the edge.

Me gustó mucho el resultado final de los personajes con el borde del cartón sobresaliente. Esto es opcional, también se puede cortar el cartón sin dejar el borde.

Now we are going to make the scene of the crib. We need an open medium cardboard box.

Ahora vamos a realizar el escenario del pesebre. Necesitamos una caja de cartón mediana abierta.

On one of the wider sides of the box, we will make a little house and on the other side the desert.

For the little house we will use a black marker with a fine tip to simulate the stones.

En uno de los lados más anchos de la caja, vamos a hacer una casita y en el otro lado el desierto.

Para la casita utilizaremos un marcador negro punta fina para simular las piedras.

With glue and colored sawdust, in this case I used orange, we are going to make what will be the floor. Apply a layer of glue and place the sawdust on it. Remove the excess and that's it.

Con pegamento y aserrín de colores, en este caso utilicé color naranja, vamos a hacer lo que será el piso. Aplicamos una capa de pegamento y colocamos el aserrín sobre este. Quitamos el exceso y listo.

With some cardboard rolls we will make the columns that support the roof. We glue the rolls to the lid of the box and then line it with corrugated cardboard.

Con unos rollos de cartón haremos las columnas que sostienen el techo. Pegamos los rollos a la tapa de la caja y luego forramos con cartón corrugado.

For the desert part, we use colored sand
colored sand and with watercolor we make the mountains.

Para la parte del desierto, utilizamos
arena de colores y con acuarela hacemos las montañas.

When we finish the stage we can place the light. I glued it to the inside of the ceiling.

Cuando terminamos el escenario podemos colocar la luz. Yo la pegué en la parte de adentro del techo.

Finally, we place the characters on the stage. And our nativity scene is ready.

Para finalizar, ubicamos los personajes en el escenario. Y está listo nuestro pesebre.
