Casa Sindical of San Cristobal, A multipurpose space [Eng-Esp]
Greetings friends lovers of architectural pieces of the world! Today I am pleased to share with you one of the old buildings of my city. It is "La Casa Sindical" a space for multiple uses and recreation. Join me on the tour.
A few days ago I had the opportunity to visit this space once again and I wanted to share it, since it seems to me that it is a strong structure that is very well maintained despite the fact that it was inaugurated in 1957.
The structure of the Casa Sindical on the outside is very simple. It consists of a building where offices are located. The entrance is a roofed hallway in which surely many of the inhabitants of this city have a photograph of some event.
Inside, the design changes and looks like an educational institution composed of classrooms and empty rooms for workshops, courses and events with capacity for a large number of people.
The stone-clad columns give it a thickness worthy of supporting the building. The ceilings are made of slabs and most of the spaces are open, allowing for natural light and ventilation.
It has a large parking lot, a theater where events such as university graduations, election and coronation of the queen of the city, plays and concerts are held.
The right wing of the building becomes a grandstand overlooking the Olympic swimming pool, which is one of the few we have in the city. Here practical swimming lessons are given to children and adults.
I liked this area very much, it was renovated very recently. It has lockers for the athletes, a cafeteria for the spectators and the pool was completely repaired.
There is also a garden in the area next to the pool ideal for sitting and enjoying nature. At the back of the pool there is an open area and a terrace, here they have improvised a sand court where you can practice some sports and recently installed a batting practice box.
It has some dance halls and can also be used for parties and assemblies. In other words, each of the spaces can accommodate large groups of people.
At the back of the union house is the Hotel Incret. It has a capacity of more than 40 rooms, a roofed terrace for events such as concerts, weddings and meetings, as well as a party room and a bar.
While I was taking pictures of the different spaces that are for public use. I met groups coming out of their yoga classes, aerobics, reading groups, children coming to their swimming classes and dance classes.
I really enjoyed touring the facilities of the Casa Sindical, which I had not visited for a long time. It seems to me that it is a space that can be used for different branches of culture and sports and I hope that they continue to take care of and preserve these valuable spaces.
Thank you for joining me on the tour. See you next time. Bye!
Chao!

I love how neat and tidy it looks, of course that pool looks great, a great space to develop the cultural and exploit the good sport.
And the trajectory that has been part of the culture of my city. That is impressive.
A multipurpose space where people can commune, hold events, participate in sports activities, or simply connect with each other contributes to the locality's growth and development. Thank you for featuring this incredible architecture @chacald.dcymt! ☺️

I believe that multipurpose spaces should be mandatory for every city. This provision opens the opportunity for its citizens to exit their comfort zones and engage with their immediate community. Thanks @chacald.dcymt for promoting this architectural gem! ☺️
An environment with large spaces and a beautiful swimming pool. It seems like a place built to be comfortable
It's good that there is such a facility in your city, it seems like a very good option. The building is very well maintained and is very spacious and cosy.
The place is wide and a lot of amenities Ma'am @chacald.dcymt
I liked the flooring of the facility and the glass door with a wooden frame 😊
San Cristobal is beautiful! I have very nice memories of a time when I lived there visiting some cousins for their birthday. I didn't know anything about the Casa Sindical and it does have that “San Cristobal” feel to it, especially in the last pictures; what a wonderful space and it makes me so happy to know that it is in use and that you saw groups of people leaving for such great activities, because the first thing I thought when I saw this post was “omg please let it not be a museum, those spaces are amazing!”; thank you so much for this tour, I loved it so much! 😍 🌄
