RE: THE TASTE OF TRUTH

I like this. What I notice first is the form: the use of a similar form in the first and third stanza, the introductory word set off with a comma, the present participle beginning the final line. You have here, as Whitman said, the law of your own poem. Next I notice the extended 'taste' metaphor. And finally the rhyme to finish the poem, which works very well. With regard to the meaning: silence as an ingredient of change gives me something to ponder. I'm not sure I would think of silence that way. So you've given me something to think about and perhaps a new reason to appreciate silence. Nice job all in all.

Thanks so much. I'm glad you like it. I appreciate how you analysed it, trying to read meaning into it.
Haha, I'm just noticing that the first and third have a similar pattern; it wasn't intentional, but I'm glad it happened that way.
Whenever I begin a poem, it flows, and the structure forms. Sometimes, I could write the last stanza after the first one, then continue with the middle ones.
There are numerous reasons for silence, and in this poem I wrote, "silence" is a pause to reason and reflect on the truth.
I'm glad to leave you with something to ponder on from my poem, and hopefully, you will appreciate silence even more.
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. I appreciate your presence on my blog post.
This is awesome:
I suppose I have a similar experience, though I've learned over time to look for repeating forms early in the process. It might be better to let it flow first. ... I'll be on the lookout for more of your poems. :)
That's good to know you have a similar experience.
Alright. You can check my previous poems from my profile. You can check "The Moving Stars".
I'm thinking of putting my blogs in their different categories so that all my poems will be in one place. I'm not sure if I can do that with the "Collections" feature on Peakd, since I don't publish through Peakd.
Do you know more about the "Collections" feature?
Yes, you can definitely use the Collections feature to organize your work. I can't really talk you through it, but I do know that others have published based on type of post, and that you can add to it over time, once you have it set up. Also, you'll get a seven-day earning window when you start it, like a regular post.
Oh, thanks so much for this information. I appreciate your time. I'll take a look and hopefully use it soon.
