After a year apart: Back To Where Love Feels Like Home Again

Greetings to everyone! It's a great feeling knowing that there's a platform like this to express each and everyone's feelings, experiences and stories. Today, let me share my own story about my lovely family. This will be a fun and short getaway. Just sit back and relax.😊

I was away with my family for almost a year. I was actually renting an apartment here in Manila with my sisters. But I spent 3 months in Germany where my boyfriend lives. My parents live in the province and the moment they found out that I am back, they came to visit us in Manila. We then decided to go out, relax and eat somewhere just like what we do whenever they visit. We went to Chili's Restaurant in Greenbelt Makati. The service was good, the ambiance was nice and of course the quality of food served were delicious and affordable. They even have a meal for only Php 385 which includes a solo starter, soup or salad, a solo entrée and a refreshing drink. Definitely a great deal!

Our stomachs were full so we decided to go for a walk and look around the Mall. Greenbelt is not too far from Ayala Triangle - this is a well known park where different events are often held. It's also a great spot for those people who want to have a little picnic since there are various restaurants around. You can even see a small playground for kids. You often see groups of families or friends jogging, working out and playing badminton or practicing other activities. This park is truly for everyone. We sat at the corner near the playground to have some shade while relaxing and watching the view and the people around.

After less than an hour, my youngest sister and I decided to go to another restaurant to have some drinks. We booked a grab and went to City Garden Hotel's Firefly Roof Deck. I've always loved places with a nice rooftop ambiance. They have been here before but during that day we couldn't think of any new spot to try. The restaurant is on the 31st floor, and when we got there it's a perfect timing because there's not a lot of people. We only ordered drinks since everyone was still full. My mom and I ordered cocktail drinks, my father of course had San Miguel beer and my sisters and cousin ordered iced coffee. We took photos because our parents really like the place and how relaxing the rooftop was. We had a small chat with each other and after few hours, we decided to head home since my sister's boyfriend was also coming to our apartment for a little celebration.

We always want our parents to experience places they never been before. Seeing their smiles on their faces is truly priceless. We know we still owe them a lot, but these small steps we were doing for them already feel like an achievement for us. We just want to thank them and for us this is one way of giving back.

In our life, sometimes the best memories come from the simplest moment spent together. Family is love and this day made me realized how lucky I am to have this beautiful family. Love your family. Let's spread love all over the world!
