Art Journal: Tranquil Winter Scene ā˜•šŸ–Œļø

(Edited)

Hello, Hiver friends and fellow art lovers! I hope you are all doing well. I want to share my new coffee painting that I just finished today.

This coffee painting conveys a sense of tranquility and the gentle embrace of winter. The muted palette, primarily composed of shades of brown, draws attention to the delicate details of the scene. Two small houses, their roofs dusted with snow, are nestled among a cluster of trees. The snow-covered ground stretches out to the horizon, creating a sense of vastness and stillness. A few birds in flight add a subtle element of movement.

The overall effect is one of peaceful serenity. The use of coffee as a medium brings warmth and richness, enhancing the painting's overall feeling. It's not merely a depiction of a winter landscape but a reflection of the quiet beauty found in the simplicity of nature. The light, almost ethereal quality of the painting contributes to its sense of peacefulness, and each subtle variation in tone adds to the mood of quiet contemplation.

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
• On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
• The same procedure as the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add details to bring your painting to life. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
