Art Journal: "Misty Morning Cabin" | Original Coffee Painting β˜•πŸ–ŒοΈ

Hello, Hiver friends and fellow art lovers! I’m excited to showcase my latest coffee artwork that I created today!

This evocative coffee painting captures a serene winter scene perfectly. A small cabin stands proudly by a still lake, surrounded by a misty forest. The muted color palette of browns, tans, and whites powerfully enhances the peaceful, almost melancholic atmosphere. The impressionistic style, characterized by soft brushstrokes, emphasizes mood over detail. Flying birds introduce a dynamic element, contrasting beautifully with the stillness of the lake and the reflection of the cabin. This painting embodies solitude and the passage of time, compelling viewers to reflect on the quiet beauty of the natural world.

I used three types of painting brushes for this piece, and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the step-by-step basic methods below.

Basic Procedure:
β€’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β€’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β€’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β€’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β€’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β€’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
