Para esta ilustración, comencé trabajando desde mi smartphone. Me encontraba utilizando las herramientas que tenía a disposición, y experimentaba con mi nueva tableta gráfica Huion H640P. Sin embargo, mientras dibujaba me encontré con algunos inconvenientes técnicos. Mientras probaba la tableta, noté que no podía configurar algunos botones adecuadamente, lo que me dificultaba el proceso de dibujo. Tras varios intentos de ajuste sin éxito, decidí acudir a la garantía para solicitar un reemplazo. Ahora, me encuentro esperando el cambio de la tableta para seguir practicando y mejorar mi dominio de Krita, el programa en el que quiero profundizar mis conocimientos. A pesar de estos obstáculos, no quise que la inspiración se desvaneciera, así que continué el proyecto desde mi smartphone, aprovechando la comodidad de dibujar en un entorno conocido. Fue un proceso distinto, pero igualmente de aprendizaje.

For this illustration, I started working from my smartphone. I found myself using the tools I had at my disposal, and experimented with my new Huion H640P graphics tablet. However, while drawing I ran into some technical hiccups. While testing the tablet, I noticed that I could not set up some buttons properly, which made the drawing process difficult for me. After several unsuccessful attempts at adjustment, I decided to go to warranty to request a replacement. Now, I find myself waiting for the tablet to be replaced so that I can continue to practice and improve my mastery of Krita, the program I want to deepen my knowledge in. Despite these obstacles, I didn't want the inspiration to fade, so I continued the project from my smartphone, taking advantage of the comfort of drawing in a familiar environment. It was a different process, but equally learning.

Comencé esbozando la forma general de Fal bastante redondeada para esta oportunidad, quería que se viera acurrucada en su nido, con una expresión maternal que reflejara su vínculo con su nido y huevecillos. Busque tonos cálidos y suaves que reforzaran la sensación acogedora del entorno. Apliqué degradados y sombras que ayudaran a dar volumen y profundidad a esta criatura.

I started by sketching Fal's overall shape quite rounded for this opportunity, I wanted her to look curled up in her nest, with a motherly expression that reflected her bond with her nest and eggs. I looked for warm, soft tones that would reinforce the cozy feeling of the environment. I applied gradients and shadows to help give volume and depth to this creature.

El siguiente paso fue la construcción del nido. Quise que tuviera una textura orgánica, llena de fibras entrelazadas que dieran un aspecto realista, asegurándome de que la iluminación y tonos tierras añadieran un toque de suavidad a la escena. También me dediqué a ajustar la iluminación y la atmósfera general del fondo. Refiné las sombras, mejoré la suavidad de las transiciones de color y agregué pequeños destellos de luz que reforzaran la sensación de calidez del nido. The next step was the construction of the nest. I wanted it to have an organic texture, full of intertwined fibers that gave it a realistic look, making sure that the lighting and earth tones added a touch of softness to the scene. I also worked on adjusting the lighting and the overall atmosphere of the background. I refined the shadows, improved the softness of the color transitions and added small flashes of light to reinforce the warm feeling of the nest. I hope you liked this rendering of Fal.
