Catotune's Top Battles Rundown: Silver league, Modern format - Oct 22, 2025

In this series, I analyze the top battles of the day to reveal which summoners and monsters are most successful for a given league and format. What better way to improve our Splinterlands skills than to study what the best players are doing?

For those of us who buy, rent, or rent out cards, I'm also hoping that this series can inform us of which cards to acquire for maximum effectivenes.

For simplicity I threw out matches ending in draws and surrender - all data is compiled from wins and losses. Here are the results from 112 of the top Silver league (modern format) battles from Wednesday, October 22, 2025:

   • Fire splinter did well in high mana cap battles (greater than 46 mana), prevailing in 8 of those battles.
     
     

2. Life
   Win rate: 58.33% [21/36]
   

   
   
   Life splinter had the most success against Earth, besting that element 5 times in today's top Silver league (modern) battles.

   • This splinter was effective with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset, where Life emerged victorious 2 times.

   • Life splinter did well in battles with mana caps higher than 46, defeating the enemy in 12 of those battles.
     
     

3. Dragon
   Win rate: 48.84% [21/43]
   

   
   
   Dragon splinter had the most success against Dragon, beating its own element 11 times in today's top Silver league (modern) battles.

   • This splinter matched well with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset, where Dragon emerged victorious 4 times.

   • Dragon splinter held its own in high mana cap battles (greater than 46 mana), prevailing in 14 of those matchups.
