Rise of the Commons is the ruleset for this week's Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge. This ruleset always challenging for me to win. I don't know why but I am weak in this ruleset. Still, I tried this challenge and managed to win as well. I think this ruleset is not easy, because we can use only common or rare monsters. So that's a challenge that we can pass with smart strategy.

Battle Challenge Rulset

Rise of the Commons

Ruleset: Weak Magic, Rise of the Commons

  • Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit armor first before reducing the health of enemy monsters.
  • Rise of the Commons: We can use only common or rare monsters in the battle. However, we can use a summoner of any rarity.

Mana cap: 24
Splinters: Fire, Water, Earth, Dragon

My Strategy For The Battle

I decided to go with Earth Splinter for this battle. The total mana for the battle is not that high, it is just 24 mana. So, I have to choose monsters wisely with lower mana monsters. I will try to keep my defense stronger as usual and will use many magic monsters in the battle lineup to take advantage of the Obsidian summoner who will give one extra magic attack to my magic monsters in the battle lineup.

Obsidian (Earth Summoner)
I used a level 4 Obsidian Earth summoner for this battle. This one is a gold card. It will increase one magic attack of my magic monster in the battle lineup. There is a weak magic ruleset that is also there for this battle so a magic attack will hit the armor first of enemy monsters. Still, I thought to go with magic monsters.

1. Terraceous Grunt (Level 5 card)
I used this monster with only the intent of giving defense to my battle lineup in the first position. Apart from that, this monster has good attack and dodge ability which makes it a stronger monster. This monster could be a good choice, especially with the low mana battles.

2. Goblin Sorcerer (Level 4 card)
I chose this monster in the second position as I thought to increase my attack. This monster has a really good magic attack and costs only 3 mana. This monster has a sneak ability which will help me to kill the opponent's monster from the back side effectively. This monster has very low health, so it's important to keep this monster a little safe in the battle lineup.

3. Wood Nymph (Level 4 gold card)
I chose the Wood Nymph monster in the third position just to heal the monster in the first position of my battle lineup. This monster cost 4 mana which is not that high and it has a magic attack which is definitely a good thing about this monster.

4. Chaos Agent (Level 1 common card)
I added this monster just to fill my battle lineup. Also, it can take one damage which will help my monsters to get some little time extra attack and kill the opponent's enemy.

5. Creeping Ooze (Level 1 common card)
I added this monster only because of its slow ability which will help to reduce the speed of the enemy monster by one. This monster costs only one mana and we can easily adjust this monster in our battle lineup.

6. Regal Peryton
At last, I kept Regal Peryton monster to give some defense to my battle lineup from the back side. This is one of the best magic monsters with an earth splinter. This monster has good attack, high speed, and flying ability which makes it more dangerous against enemy monsters.

Here my opponents also used the same summoner. However, their summoner is at level 3 while our summoner level is 4. My opponents have used high mana monsters rather than focusing on lower mana monsters.

In the first round, my monster got one extra magic attack and the opponent's monsters also got one extra magic attack because of respective summoners. Also, the opponent's monster's speed is reduced by one because of my Creeping Ooze monster which has a slow ability. My Regal Peryton monster did the first attack on the opponent's first monster. Then opponent Regal Peryton monster attacked my first monster. This is how the battle started. Let's see how the thing goes.

In the second round, my third monster killed the opponent's first monster. Then in the third round, opponent Regal Peryton monster killed my first monster. After that, my Wooden Nymph monster killed my opponent Regal Peryton monster. The wooden Nymph monster really helped a lot to heal my first monster.

In the end, I won the battle.✌️

Conclusion

My strategy worked well and I used many magic monsters which was really helpful for me in this battle. I used the Wooden Nymph monster which helped my first monster to heal. Also, using the Creeping Ooze monster was a really good decision as this monster reduced 1 speed of the enemy monster. The opponent's battle lineup was not that strong and I easily won the battle.
